As a person who was diagnosed with ADHD at 50, I discovered brown noise for the first time. It has given me some of the most restful sleep I've had in my life. Not 100% because there are always other factors, but when things line up and the brown noise goes on for sleep, I crash, dream, and wake up rested. Something that was rare. The other rare times before brown noise, when I had great sleep, was sleeping by the beach (waves are great brown noise). I never put the two together for 50 years, damnit.

I’m in the uk dude and apart from the very hot days (relative to the others in the UK) I’d suggest opening windows during the day and turning off the rad in your room. It’s unpleasantly cold sometimes to get into bed, but once you’re in you soon warm up and you’ll hopefully sleep better.

Had long term sleep issues. Now i sleep great. Try to read and relax before bed. Use a white noise machine, and eye mask and a CPAP machine since i have sleep apnea. I travel with all 3 and sleep great with them

I would not follow her advise on food before bed. You may sleep, but you'll have metabolic syndrome and/or type 2 diabetes. Then you won't be able to sleep...again.

Matthew walker says a warm bath helps you cool down because the body send the heat to the extremeties to keep the core cooler.

In the first two minutes she excluded so many people 😂 my house is old but has AC, there’s no way to regulate my house by a single degree (without revamping my vent systems) and temp regulating beds cost as much or more than a car……. Not that she’s incorrect, but geez that luxury must be nice! 😅

Cereal is just garbage as is homogenized, pastured watered down milk. The food companies are allowed to call this crap “whole wheat” because technically it began the process as a whole wheat but practically all of the nutrient has been milled out in order to gain shelf life.

I have tinnitus from playing a lot of live music when I was younger. I have been using either a fan or my phone for white noise the last 20 years. And a shower right before bed means I'm gonna be rolling around in bed for 2-3 hours.

Matt Walker is correct. The same logic applies with cold showers. You’re cold at the time, but when you get out and are drying off, your body warms up.

It used to take me an hour to fall asleep but since i started listening to asmr for 15 minutes before i go to sleep it only takes me a few minutes, sometimes not even 5 minutes. Sadly admr has a bad reputation nowadays due to the sexual connotation that some content creators make on them but for some people it works, it does for me at least.

Banana is high in magnesium however due to its sugar level may be a bad idea for those with insulin issues
