When Viggo calls Aurelio to find out why he hit is son, Aurelio tells him his son stole John Wick's car and killed his dog. All Viggo can say is "Oh" and hangs up the phone. That one word by Viggo is a master class is how to convey a scene without over using dialogue. At that point we don't really know who John Wick is, but with that one word and the look on Viggo's face we know his son is dead.

Overlooked is Aurelio pouring a drink for John (a peace offering), and John not taking a drink (peace offering acceptance) until Aurelio explained what happened. No words other than, "I need a ride". With that action, John accepts Aurelio's explanation, and will leave him alone.

Well, not much of a muscle car guy... You can keep the chevelle. But that Track MONSTER in the gulf livery? That's a nice car... If that is supposed to be THE ACTUAL #9 65' JWA mk1 GT40 (the car that won 24hrs of Lemans in '68) And it's not a replica... that is a priceless car. (Although, I can't determine if that car survived to present day, but if it did it would be worth over 10million at auction)

​@maraudostrogoth747 Wick doesn't work that way, and Aurelio gave him a car (probably his own personal car) knowing that 1. John is "good for it" 2. And it would be returned or paid for if it was damaged/destroyed. Wick's reputation isn't one of Fear (although his rep IS intimidating) it is of respect. he does not kill unless he's being paid for it, is defending himself, or has a specific beef with you (or in the case of henchmen... your boss) Aurellio has nothing to fear from wick. He didn't steal the mustang.

Do you know the significance of the dog? It was the last thing his wife did before she died. She knew he was capable of loving someone else aside from the world he knew. Someone kills my dog and doesn't kill me, they better get their affairs in order. Dogs have unconditional love and loyalty. Until you understand that, you missed the entire point of why the dog was there.

People ask why didnt he just say something to keep the car there. if this man knows John well enough to spot his car at a distance, he knows how John will react to being jumped and his car stolen. he was even surprised about the dog, which you could tell by his reaction to the remark about 'fucking it up' meaning they either beat or killed it. John not the type to just frivolously adopt or buy a dog, so it has to have some meaning to him. If he is as close to John as Marcus is, the news of his wifes passing wouldnt escape his knowledge, so its easy to put two and two together that the dog is connected to the wifes passing in some fashion. So with just a few remarks, he knows its not safe to be anywhere near Iosef or the car until he has a word with John himself.

It's a plot thing, has to move the story forward. They also could have had John just send word to the high table and that punk would have been punished seeing as John earned his way out and would be deemed untouchable. John wouldn't have gotten back in and could have gone on living his quiet life.

Not really.... If Aurelio had the car in his possession and John arrived it would look like Aurelio was involved in the theft or even OK'd it which John would consider a huge betrayal and add Aurelio to his list. And once John percives you as having slighted him, he's nearly impossible to talk down or negotiate with. Aurelio didn't want to take that risk so he wisely told Iosef to get the fuck out with it.
