My ex-wife pulled the getting my mother on her side trick, thankfully there was no company or money involved. My ex-wife thought it would be a winning move, and my mother thought she had influence over me. Turns out they both misunderstood our relationships, my ex-wife didn't lost that game real hard, and I ended all contact with my mother for 15 years. Ironically my ex-wife also stopped contacting my mother, turns out she didn't have any use for her once she realized she couldn't interfere in my life. I made it very clear to my mother that until the day she dies she is on permanent probation, she does anything that pisses me off and she'll never see or speak with me again. Was I overly harsh? Maybe but for the last 25 years she has never tried to interfere in my life. My brother seems to be forever undoing the messes she creates in his life.
