Please respond to your exes when they contact you, if you ghost them, it's really awkward for you contacting them later, or even expecting them to contact. Just respond, don't put emotions or drama, and never initate or reach out. Ghosting them can be bad for you when they don't reach out to you after the period.

I felt like you stared into my soul and read my mind. I violated this rule because like you said, I figured out of sight, out of mind. She will move on and that is the hardest to cope with. I also am guilty of the rebound relationships. I definitely have found myself looking at what the new person in lacking in comparison to my ex. I don't want to get into any new relationships because I know that I will just be comparing them to her. I also deal with a lot of triggers that remind me of her like highway signs that have her city on them, parks where we used to walk, etc. It got to the point where I can be on vacation and I will see women who remind me of her to the point where I might not even be thinking about her, but when I see them, feelings start flowing back.

Thank you Jess...I must say I literally hurt my woman emotionally but sincerely it's unintentional. Maybe because it's my first relationship and it's really hard to handle relationship matters for now... My lady would say "she doesn't give up relationship easily but when She does that's final" I truly love her but I don't know why I give her so much pain emotionally... Recently she decided I give her a break...(not necessarily a break up)most times I would text but she never responded or better still one word answers and it painful... To some extent I seem like a nuisance by texting her without her responding but she would read them. sincerely, I want her back but I want to be a better version of myself.. She do say she likes it best when we were friends before we got so intimate... Not texting her is so hard to do but I would try to give her the break she deserves and i would try to get better...God willing we sort things out... I did wait the 30 days, but messed up after. About 40 days in. Within the first 30 days, he reached out 3x guilt tripping me into believing that I was childish for not staying friends. So I reached out to say that my reasons for not being friends were valid: and I felt stupid right after reaching out, bc he reiterated that we had no future. So even tho I kinda failed, I now won’t fall back into the guilt tripping.

The most effective no contact is to never reach out, or initiate a conversation. However, when they reach out, you have answer cordially and briefly. You do not keep the conversation going unless it’s they are saying things that really have substance. You do not answer all breadcrumbs, and you also do not answer right away. It is crucial that you never display emotions and bitterness.

If its meant to be, they will come back. Self respect, self value, and faith in your own journey. What about no contact with a co-worker? I am about a week in, and I walked away and began no contact. I do not initiate anything, I do not text, or go to her, or look at social media, but she stops into my office in the morning to say hi and tell me things that are happening in her life. She went from being pissed when I walked away to running to me like a puppy in the mornings. I believe based on her personality she also is an avoidant. She'll purposely run into me in the break room when I'm getting coffee. I am cordial and professional, but I don't get into and try to keep it short. The thing is though, she will then not message me or run into me the rest of the entire day. I also know she is entertaining a relationship with someone shortly before I called it and said that I will not accept her trying to talk to me about our issues and she is developing a relationship with someone new. How do navigate through that considering she is 2 doors down from my office? Happy to answer questions.

This is my issue at the minute. We split up early june her decision, i made no attempt to change her mind. 3 weeks later she rang me. I responded 2 days later and had a basic conversation. We spoke again couple of days later and she was crying saying she was scared. She went into what i would describe as a rebound relationship, during which she contacted me asking me to go and see her. I didnt. We have exchanged the odd text and phonecall but nothing significant. She messaged me a few days ago and 3 missed calls and ive not responded to any of them. Not sure if i should. It may be that she just wants to see what im up to rather than discussing anything significant. I have no information whether she is seeing anyone or not.

I think I messed up and I don't know what to do now. We had a bit of a conflict which i initiated but then I immediately apologized , explained the context and gave her space to process it. After a few days I did a short check in , she responded very positively and I responded back as well but she dint continue the conversation. I let it be and after few days I suggested that we meet up , I wrote a long message on how we could fix this together , build friendship and know each other more . Again she responded very positively although her message was confusing . She acknowledged that she has feelings but wanted to work on being friendship part etc and was open to catch up . I responded saying that I have feelings too but I also want to work on the friendship part although i don't mean to say that I only want to be friends. After that her behaviour changed. She avoided the meeting and started interacting with me only once in few days although she would always leave a leading question and then she started completely ghosting , stopped interacting with my ig posts as well ! Now I m not sure what to do

Hi Jessica, I have finally subscribed. I have been watching your channel for a about a yr now and you just keep knocking it out the park with simple solutions and thought out answers to very complicated everyday struggles. My ex had her reasons to break up with me but made it clear that she saw us going no where so when i return a msg to respond, i put 0 feelings into it and just severed. I told her to take care and to not worry about my clothes, that she could get rid of em however she liked. I knew that this would bother her but i also respected her position. If it’s unavoidable, I’d say give the situation a small acknowledgment. Say hi, keep it small but move on. Ignore it. If there are others in the setting, mingle with them and let them speak for you. “Oh wow have you talked to xyz, they’re really funny…they got that new job they were looking for…looks like they’ve been hitting the gym…”
