i used to play a loooooot on this small server from my home country, and it's mostly gone now (i couldn't join it when i tried, the website is gone last time i checked). i made so many memories playing on the creative mode there, i would give anything to go back... the ending of the video just reminded me of that :^)

In Russia there're actually two mastadons of the pirate servers (and you could only join them through their special launcher, just like Trukish server you've mentioned here). And those are "Cristalix" and "Vimeworld". Back in the day there were up to 10,000 players playing on each server. I might not recall numbers right, but yeah... that were great days

​@coolshockbt I used to play in a pirate russian server(they used the Cyrillic alphabet, so it could be a Ukrainian server too), I remember the server being recommended as being a pirate alternative to Mineplex. I only remember two things about this server, that it had a snake game where you would ride sheeps and that it had an unusual(at least for me) authentication method, you had to type in the chat a code presented by a map in order to access the server.

These servers have gotten me into the game and I learnt the very basics of the game as a clueless player on these servers. I feel you with the cracked servers. One in particular that was my first Minecraft experience is russian speaking Excalibur craft. Now I bought the game but it's still nostalgic to check on in once in a while.

SonOyuncu and CraftRise feel like a really big room filled only with houseplants; it feels fucking weird. Compared to Hypixel, Hypixel is crowded because they create smaller maps with more functionality (which you expect to get from most servers), but SonOyuncu’s and CraftRise’s feel empty with bigger maps and unnecessary features. Nevertheless, they’re still great. The clients are nice, not great but nice.

You should make a video about the brazilian servers. In Brazil we had a network of servers under the name Craftlandia with it's own launcher and over 4000(sometimes over 6000) simultaneous players, the most popular being the Minigames server. Unfortunately they lost popularity and closed many of their servers.

Being from latin america, my first server I ever played was UniversoCraft and it was my only option I knew of back then, since I couldn't afford to buy Minecraft About a year ago I bought Minecraft but I keep playing on the same hispanic cracked servers like UniversoCraft, HyCraft, MineLatino and ZoneCraft. I just find them to be better than Hypixel, as weird as that might seem UniversoCraft is quite hated by a lot of people including me for being filled with hackers and being kind of pay to win, so I mainly play HyCraft and ZoneCraft, but UniversoCraft isn't that bad (btw being pay to win is not that big of an issue in cracked servers, because most people that play cracked servers are playing there because they can't afford Minecraft, and ofc almost no one buys a rank if they can't afford Minecraft itself) HyCraft has a bad anti-cheat, but definetly better than Hypixel (crazy thing is that I rarely find cheaters at all in HyCraft, while I spot multiple a day in Hypixel. Though being a cracked server, it's common to see bots that spam in chat in the lobbies, but they don't get into games so it's fine) ZoneCraft doesn't have that big of a playerbase, but big enough. I love the amount of effort the developers of ZoneCraft put into it While these servers might not be better than Hypixel in every regard, and in fact, most of them have huge issues sometimes (like how some HyCraft gamemodes just stop working for a few hours or days, or like when ZoneCraft pushed an update so big that they had to keep the server in maintenance for like 5 days), I just find them to be better than Hypixel in my opinion Less laggier, less toxic, less cheaters... It's overall more welcoming. It's not a weird thing to find nice people that speak english only in these servers

Actually, the largest Russian server is Vimeworld with a record of about 22 thousand players, but it is a server with its own launcher

LegendaryCraft/Minecade eventually ending up as an NFT server does not really surprise me at all. They were always kind of slimy. I'm one of the current owners of Minetown, one of the other servers that appears on the early top Minecraft servers lists. We're a lot smaller than we were back then, but we're still around, in fact about to celebrate our 13th birthday in the next few weeks. I'm not the founder and I "only" joined MT in November 2012, but my understanding is that LegendaryCraft just outright copied several assets from MT and put it on their server. I'm not super familiar with everything that happened since I joined after it had all occurred, but I know there's several references to it on our original map and a lot of the old timers have brought it up over the years.

Comparing UniversoCraft / Librecraft with Hypixel, Hypixel its much better. But are thousands of hispanics players that preffer hispanic servers for the "language barrier". Btw, nice video! I used to play omegacraft 7 ish years ago, it was full of cheaters, corrupt mods, and lag. Also extremely P2W, their bedwars gamemode had kits for ranked players. However, there was a bug me and a few other knew which u could get them for free XD the kit gave you like 1 stack of iron and 8 emeralds. It was completely broken Edit: also me and my Friends knew a bug to make a team bigger than 4's on bedwars, it was VERY FUN to play 6v3v3v3 and people having no idea whats happening i can't recall how many times i've been banned just for beating any staff member on bw back then There was also a time when suddenly there was SO MUCH people speaking in TURKISH, very random and never knew why so many people discovered the server Can't say i didnt have fun on that server, but i'm much better now in hypixel haha

Cubecraft Eggwars came before Hypixel's Bedwars, but GommeHD did Bedwars before Cubecraft's Eggwars. GommeHD got the idea from a minigame map that I believe was called Rush or Bed Rush.

ReallyWorld has a lot of scummy background stuff. The main KZbinr, Domer, (probably he's also the creator) plagiarises a lot of content from the english Minecraft KZbin and also creates fake drama with hired actors to gain more following and support. They also have absolutely ridiculous mandates for the newer KZbinrs that require them to produce stupid amount of content in a small period of time. There are several vids exposing ReallyWorld and Domer on russian KZbin, but I watched them a long time ago so I forgot some of the points stated about the server and its creator. Still, in the community it's considered to be quite controversial nonetheless
