I just came across this video and your channel and it reminded me why I don’t print my photos at home; the frustration of keeping a printer working 😫 and the cost 💸. My career included shooting weddings with color negative / C-Prints, working at National Geographic as a lab technician and 30 years managing offset printing where from 2000 when I started doing digital photography with a DC 290 camera to 2010 when I retired I had a $25k 3M Rainbow Dye Sub 12” x 18” printer to print on. I know from work how to do ICC profile based color management and everything else needed to get good results with an ink jet printer but I don’t sell my work and print enough of my photos to make owning one worth the expense and hassle of owning one 😢.

Hi Jose You are so right, my prints are stacking up, and are getting better over time, online there are so many places to find butifully art or pictures for print, it is a equal art to make and frame, i injoy to make the frames, but, how to make the passpartout wen to make a wide frame around the print, and should it be symmetrical, chuse it's coller and to witch style frame. I wish we can find an expert in this like you in printers.. Greeting, thanks for all your videos

Is nozzle check counted as print out? As it actually triggers all 12 inks on pro 1000?

@@cheo1949 If this is true, you really should put out a new video explaining just this as it is huge. The fact that I can print a nozzle check without even turning on the computer would be a great service. I have seen so many of your videos, saying we all need to print a photo or test sheet or leave the software running in the background that prints a sheet every 23 hours. All of this is much more cumbersome then just printing a nozzle check every time I enter the office. I have a pro 1000 and pro 2000. The pro 2000 is even more of a pain, if a nozzle check if sufficient, I will happily just do that. If that is really the case and the fact that it triggers all 12 inks instead of the 7 or 8 that the Qimage software triggers, is alone worth it. I don't understand why it's not possible to program a nozzle check every 23 hours in Qimage instead of the scheduled trigger that does not trigger all inks. Maybe you can go into that info too because frankly, Its above my level to understand this. Thanks

Poor photographs, they can't take holidays because of there printer.
