So true. I got sick of my neighbor lady who was frequently accusing me of some nonsense or complaining in an ugly voice. I asked her not to talk to me but she couldn’t control her need for conflict. As I was yelling shut up shut up, she yelled at me, you hate yourself!

Thank you for this! I enjoyed the clarity that you bring. Later edit: someone was agressive with me and what I learned from that was that I should trust myself more and follow my intuition. Because there was a hunger for connection in me, I entered in that situation. Which led me to the roote cause: when I was little I was willing to do anything to get my mother in a happy place so she could then love me. That’s what I learned, I got to fix people, so when they are in a good place they cand love (me). It was very hard to see this, accept it and replace my belief with a new one, a healthy, balanced one. And by doing this, it impacted my entire social circle, as I realised how I was lying to myself. I pulled myself out from everything that wasn’t resonating with my values of peace, harmony, respect and integrity. It was hard to let go of my attachments, yet so freeing. These days, even though I am alone, I discovered how eliberating is to give it all to God. My joys and my sorrows.

Good insight. Thanks for sharing. I totally know what you mean and have noticed a similar pattern in my own behavior. I automatically tend to the other person’s feelings first whenever I sense that they are not optimal in some way. I used to think that was just because I am a caring person and this behavior was merely an example. Now I realize that there is another aspect to it that is mostly about self preservation. I learned to soothe both my parents as first priority so that they would be in a balanced enough place to be able to take care of me. I had this repetitive dream through childhood where I was driving on a curvy road late at night with my mom behind the wheel. She would pass out or fall asleep at the wheel and then I would have to figure out how to get her limp body out of the drivers seat, put myself behind the wheel, learn how to drive a stick shift, and drive us home, all without stopping the car or pulling over. That movie about the buss that can’t stop or it will explode with Keanu Reeves has a similar feeling in it. I feel the need to tend to everyone else’s feelings in a room before even considering what my own are because when people are upset, they are unpredictable and that makes me very uneasy. If I don’t take care of everyone else first, something bad is going to happen and then somehow I will be responsible for it because I did not do enough to manage the situation in advance. Needless to say, this approach has lead me to neglect myself and be disconnected from my own needs. There is part of me that doesn’t even understand why I would need to tend to myself because I measure my own wellbeing by how those around me are feeling. If they are all good I assume I must be too. Weird and distorted approach. Ugh! I’m trying to learn a new approach but changing autopilot settings is slow going. I am making progress though - in being conscious of the compulsion as it is happening and trying to just sit with it instead of managing others.

No no no no. I was literally consciously thinking about this conundrum this morning. I had to deal with a person yesterday who was unable to acknowledge their wrong in a discussion. And this morning, I sat there, and felt naaaaaaa, I always acknowledge my wrongs. That's what I'm about. So seeing it in this person. That's not me

"you are what you se in others" when it bothers you, when it triggers you, or gets you angry. when is not just someone being or doing somethin different than you, but is something you hate, thats when it is something in you, it deppnds on the emotional response, otherwise you just accept the other person and you just dont have them near
@MenuV78

Yes totally agree. It's only when it triggers you for days and weeks that you need to wonder why you're reacting in a certain way. As some spiritual gurus say: it's fine reacting to a situation e.g. being angry. But what's not ok is when you're reacting to your reaction. To me I infer that as constantly replaying what happened and getting angry about it for a long period of time. So I respectfully disagree with this video, or rather I think there's more to it than what's being said here.

Souls have different experiences and different lessons at each level of the game. Our greatest spiritual lesson is to do your own journey and stop listening to others advice or telling other people the ‘truth’ when we all have our own truth within us. When we become One with the One we see that we are the One and everyone is us, but if you’re not at that level, this information will not resonate.

I think it is important to add that HOW we come to see another person as we become more spiritually mature might even be MORE true "as such" and indeed LESS a reflection of ourselves...

Thank you very much for this, your video (not this one, your wonderful explanation of "You Don't Have a Soul") came up in my recommended and I found this video while looking at your channel. It has never resonated with me that what I see in others is a reflection of me etc. I had a hard time with this view as I have been in two seriously abusive relationships, of which I am healing and moving away from (along with the past) and didn't know how to take this idea or viewpoint. I tried. I thought perhaps that this could mean I was somehow deserving of what happened to me, or was collecting karma for past injustices to others. Even then, I had trouble accepting this and now, I stumble upon your channel and this particular video. Thank you very much, Martijn 🌻 You may have just saved someone from blaming themselves, further impacting on their trauma and ability to heal, when in reality they were a victim of abuse (which usually includes further blame and the adage - look at what you made me do) Blessings and hugs from Melbourne, Australia. New subscriber. 💕🌻💕🌻 P.S In relation to those relationships (and interactions with others in general) I ask myself what lesson did I need to learn about myself - in essence, what did this person teach me? I found that I was missing self worth and this was the lesson that had taken me years to learn (at least in this current human identity) I was also bearing down on my intuition. My intuition had never failed me before and in these instances, it still hadn't. My higher self, my soul knew and told me so, but unfortunately, my lack of self worth had a stronger hold over me. Happy to say, self worth has returned, along with a stronger intuition 😉🥳🌻

Hi everyone, today I address one of the most widespread erroneous concepts in the spiritual community. I believed in this concept for some time until I understood it had to be incorrect. I hope this episode helps to clarify the confusion!

Thank you for this episode. Imagine how many beliefs that I store in the deep corners of my mind are actually not quite true but somehow unable to access them if I'm not aware enough the moment I encounter them. I guess those kinds of things make me realize that I'm more asleep in my waking state than I fooled myself otherwise.

That's what self-inquiry is all about, questioning your beliefs from a place of calm, silence, and confidence. And sometimes you have to revisit certain beliefs again and again, until you're ready to let them go 🙏🏻🤗❤️

Also mate, I prob feel that this awareness is a contributing outcome of shadow work, I guess because untill you dive deep with your shadow other people actions and the way you perceive them is based on entirely 2nd hand knowledge. Someone has told you something therefore that's all you can perceive from. When you understand first hand with your shadow what this other human is actually capable of, it gives clarity to this whole perception of this topic. When you have enough integrity to see past the 'reflection' ideology, your confidence to clearly see truth is what allows this seperation in our beliefs and values.

@@theschoolofself-mastery absolutely. Only in the quiet before the next storm can one reflect clearly enough through calm and objective analysis to evaluate where to go from there, now knowing the person who trespassed you, is the problem 😅

This intro to the video was a bit over generalized and in such a case you are indeed correct. If someone is jealous or arrogant, then it could just be that they had trauma they are re in acting, simply need to mature a little more, or having a bad day and are coming across like that to you. But you are seeing and judging their attitude through your lenses. It is ALL your interpretation. Maybe the person next to you thinks that that person is, who you think is arrogant, is actually really just very confident yes? THAT is what they mean. You see what YOU see. Arrogance is not a fact, it is a view point. Which in that case, calls one to ask, why do I think this person is “arrogant” …? See the difference. Not why am I arrogant, but why do I view this person as acting arrogantly …. That is all.

A great video and advice thank you! When questioning why something makes us feel the way we do, like in your example. Let's say: Why do I feel angry or insecure? What happens if you cannot connect to the past event that makes you feel angry or insecure due to poor memory recall, or perhaps having been through many traumatic events in the past? How would you then source the true cause of the problem within?
@theschoolofself-mastery
@theschoolofself-mastery Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Well, you don't have to know the root cause to change a behavior or a feeling. Often it's a bit easier if you do, but it's not necessary. Most important is to understand you have control over your thoughts now, and can change it right here, right now. Understanding that the past is gone and now is a different situation. Observing your thoughts and change them if you don't like them. 🙏🏻🤗❤️

How you see others depends completely on your level of consciousness. For most people, they walk around in constant psychological projection. They can only see what's inside themselves and are thus easily offended by their own flaws. The other end of the spectrum is the Buddha. He has addressed his unconscious guilt and is able to see people as they really are. He has absolutely no reaction to people other than love and amusement. Seems to me you are describing something in between.

That's not true but believe what you want. Know thy self as GOD, GOD is everything and everyone. So when you look at ones perceived reality YOU ARE perceiving yourself. You are only talking about people BUT you are also the water, UNCLEAN or CLEAN. Why would water be clean because YOU don't contaminate the water you perceive, you don't use chemicals, you don't litter around water, you speak to water like you speak to your best friend etc. now imagine the opposite. Animals, do you kill animals, eat animals etc... that could be perceived as ABUSE of self because animals are you. Talk down to animals you talk down to people around you, you talk down to ET beings that are communicating in dream state etc. That abuse has many forms and expressions. Abuse of an animals is the same abuse of People. If people are spraying chemical poisons on Insects, the Military industrial complex is spraying chemical poisons ON YOU people. Same form of abuse, simply perceived in a different way. There is Only YOU in your created reality, physical reality is purely Illusional, the physicality of your earthly experience is pure frequency or consciousness. Everything is created from one's frequency management. The blame game can only go so far, until it comes back to ones perceived experience. The art of seeing everything in everyone being YOU, is a expression of Knowing thy self as ALL THINGS seen and unseen. EVERYTHING is YOU, so what you see in everything IS THE direct reflection of what you perceive to be your created reality. If one fails to acknowledge self in everything, there is still a learn teach opportunity to be had or experienced, on this planet or another, this timeline, dimension, frequency band or another. The good, the bad and the ugly is YOU. people that molest children is YOU, people that steal is YOU, people that Kill is YOU, people that LIE is YOU, people that tell their truth is YOU, people that create new technology is YOU, the animals you interact with is YOU, the insects kill or save is YOU, the wind that blows across your face is YOU, the fire that burns in your fireplace is YOU. YOU ARE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. EVEN if you do not do any of listed things, you stil do other things, those things are YOU. Know thy self as God, and you Transend duality, polarity, ego, singularity etc... your soul has no name but yet you perceive yourself to have a name? your soul has no gender, yet you perceive that there are two genders Male and female? If you voluntarily pay taxes, you are contributing to all the world wars. which makes you THE WAR here on earth. Imagine meeting a 15 foot alfa draco reptilian being, with a head full of teeth, 4 inch claws, and smell like shit, if you don't understand that that is you, FEAR would overwhelm you and cause you to attack or run away. BUT the whole time standing in front of a Alfa Draco reptilian that holds love for you, would never hurt you, would never want you to be afraid of the 15 foot alfa draco reptilian because the reptilian KNOWS thy self as one with ALL, yes their is good and bad in everything this is why you are experiencing said good or bad in your reality. But if you Transend good and bad, or good and evil, their becomes NO evil No Good, etc.. because you know thy self as everything and everyone. . Just because we look different, sound different, smell different, etc... that's just the physical things DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOU PERCIEVE within your created reality. You are everything in your seen and unseen reality. LOVE THY SELF is to LOVE ALL of SELF. Love is the creator of all things created. Love thy enemies in order to create NO ENEMIES. This goes for everything you create in your reality, so you eventually come to understand EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE IS SIMPLY YOU in different forms and expressions. Everything the soul does across all it's experiences, across all dimensions, timeline, frequency bands, seen and unseen is for the SOLE purpose of getting to know thy self as ALL THINGS. don't hold to tightly on the words GOD, or any other word, your soul does not use words. There is no limitation when you see oneself as ALL THINGS seen and UNSEEN. SO yes what you see in others is a direct reflection of lack of understanding (Ignorance) of the self in all things. Peace.
