She was polite in keeping her and her sons distance. Her son did look a bit nervous of the guard and he responded to the little boy by moving nearer to him for a photo he will no doubt cherish. She thanked him which she was the only person in the video that did. Some people were rude, standing too close or pushing their kids by his side.

My Dad also - I too am an "Army BRAT".👍🏻😊 I'll forever be proud of Dad 🙏🏻 He served for 25+ years - initially with The Royal Horseguards, The Blues. As I'm sure you know, in 1969 they merged with The Royal Dragoons, known as The Royals, to become "The Blues & Royals". In those days they had min height requirements to join, with most of the men being very tall - Dad was 6'5". It is said that the Blues & Royals are the most handsome of the Household Cavalry - hence they wear their helmet straps below the chin to enable everyone to see their gorgeous faces! 😁...😉 (Of course I concur! 😊) It would appear that our fathers served at the same time - they may have even known each other. I'm sure you have many happy memories, as do I. 🥰💖

Well done. trooper, you are a credit to your regiment, and as I said before, when you move closer to a different child, you have a very kind heart, and I think you will go a very long way in the military. Thank you for your service.

I agree 👍 I hope his love for horses AND autistic children never die. If he decides to leave the King's Guards I hope that he becomes someone who shows autistic children how to ride and love horses the way he does ❤️❤️❤️

A lovely gesture, very kind. These soldiers and guards are under constant scrutiny and pressure and it's delightful that they still consider the small things. I'm even happier that they thanked him. Few do. IMO
