the end of the hucksters. This is, basically, the conversation Anne and I had before I quit being an employee.

Wow, a 20-something Deborah Kerr! She was a classic beauty of the first order and a talented actress to boot! She should have won the Academy Award for Best Actress for "From Here to Eternity" but lost out to Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday". Miss Kerr was one of those rare women who just got lovelier as they matured. Irene Dunne, Lucille Ball, Claudette Colbert and Myrna Loy were too. They all had an inner light that surpassed charisma and approached something like an electromagnetic force!

Fairleigh Brooks Miss Kerr was a tremendously gifted actress. A very few actors have the gifts you so beautifully wrote of. Ava Gardner was talented too, but not like Deborah Kerr. The way she revealed all with just her eyes. It reminds me of the scene where she & Clark Gable watch in the audience as Ava's character sings from the stage. Not a single word is spoken, but Deborah communicates all with her eyes. There was a supreme acting lesson for those who are paying attention!

*WARNING* *Spoilers* I guess I don't need to see the film now. They wind up together in the end!
