I was working on a film in Bristol, Vermont and the location manager came up to me and said, "Hey, you wanna go check a couple of towns.I got a call to take some pictures and send them to this producer. They just want downtown shots." So we went on a day off. It turned out to be Baby Boom. It was a fun scenic drive.

Can't believe you reacted to this movie. Loved and recommended to a few reactors and it was like pissin in the wind because I knew no one would ever react to it. There are so many good movies that never get reactions because they're just not big enough for whatever reason. So glad you watched the gem. Keep up the great work!

Probably tops out at less than 10K views, not enough to make big "youtube" bucks on. That's why these selections have to be the ones patreons specifically pay for.

@@MrKINSM Yeah, unfortunate algorithm considerations mean tons of great movies fall through the cracks. I want them to react to The Elephant Man, Mask (with Eric Stoltz and Cher, not Jim Carrey), The Wiz, Yellow Submarine, Spinal Tap, and so many others but most likely won't happen.

My mom worked at a video rental store part time in the 80s, and this is one of those tapes she brought home one night for our family to watch. As a young boy, I wasn't interested, but I remember enjoying this. I enjoyed your reaction, and seeing the movie again (in part) was nostalgic.

I absolutely love this movie and watched it many times growing up when it was on TV! Love that you're reacting to it, no one does. The 80s were something! Elizabeth is adorable and I love how she seemed like a seasoned actor, lol. Diane Keaton is perfect in this role.

I remember my mom getting this film from the video store. At the beginning of the video was a preview of the film “Overboard” with Goldie Hawn, and to my 12-year-old self that looked a lot more interesting than “Baby Boom.” Not long later, we rented “Overboard” (which had the preview to “Baby Boom” at the beginning), and I realized afterward that “Baby Boom” was the better of the two films. I still feel that way.

The actor playing the veterinarian is Sam Shepard. He had a very nice acting career, but he started out as a playwright. He was a very respected playwright in the 70's and 80's. I was in a production of The Curse of the Starving Class. He was a very good writer and actor.

I think “three men and a baby”came out around the same time. The vet office scene is my favorite!!!😂😂😂 Remember, she already had a zucchini product and was experimenting with recipes. She’ll buy more crops or buy the apples from farmers, and branch out. She researches and food is her business. I hope your kiddo is ok. She’s beautiful and adorable! I was picturing her falling alone into a chest freezer looking for that treat! I’m sure you had it all under control!😅

I totally understand that Americans mistake Labor Day as a day to celebrate women's experience of giving birth to babies.😅 But up here in Canada, where we celebrate Labour Day to honour workers, women actually have access to free healthcare during their pregnancies and hopefully safe deliveries. Wish you folks were that fortunate! 🇨🇦 😊 But seriously, this is a great Diane Keaton film (aside from "Annie Hall") and it's also great to see the late playwright Sam Shepard acting in a funny film. He was in so many films (but rarely in a starring role) including "Paris, Texas" and "Fool for Love" (based on his plays), "Thunderheart", "Crimes of the Heart*, "August, Osage County", "The Right Stuff" and many more. A great American playwright and understated/unappreciated actor

I worked at a restaurant in coconut grove, Florida (Miami) with a 21 year old beautiful blonde young woman who dated a Turkish university student. She became pregnant and his parents would have freaked out so he dumped her and she gave the baby (born on Labor Day aprox 1981, age 43 now) up for adoption - more accurately, she sold the baby girl for $4000 plus expenses to a yuppie couple from NYC. She felt she was too young and couldn’t handle it financially. I think about that sweet baby on Labor Day. I felt it was a huge mistake but the mommy was not a person who changed her mind (strong Aries). I had two kids by age 21. I wonder if the girl has ever met either of her biological parents yet? I hope her adoptive birth parents loved her.💕

"You, Me, & The Movies: 'Diane Keaton in an unexpected comedy.' " What?!? F.Y.I.: Diane Keaton has ONLY, as it happens to factually be, been appearing in "an unexpected comedy" - amongst and alongside dramatic roles throughout her cinematic career - since, at the least, "Play It Again, Sam"(1972), "Annie Hall" (1977), and right up until she took on her starring role in "Baby Boom" (1987), a NOT so "unexpected comedy" choice in her film career choices.

I'd prefer you both more digging into the true cinematic classics going back over the previous decades, and back to early sound at the beginning of the 1930's. (For instance, sampling / a "KZbin Reaction" to, the first handful of the Marx Brothers on film. "GONE WITH THE WIND" - 1939, and in true "color".) How about Humphrey Bogart, William Holden and Audrey Hepburn (in glorious B&W) in Billy Wilder's masterful light comedy "SABRINA" (1954)? Talk about an "unexpected" comedic role, and brilliantly performed by "Bogie". (Humphrey DeForest Bogart: December 25, 1899 - January 14, 1957)
