I would recommend watching Broadchurch. It's a British show and has a lot of the same feel. Small town, and everybody looks guilty of killing a young boy.

We saw somewhat of a parody of this show on the Disney show “Agatha All Along”, and then I wanted to watch this, and then seeing y’all watch it too was pure destiny, I just sit and wonder what life became for them after these events 🤔

Mrs. Movies cracked the case! 👏 Mare Winslet is so good in this -- made me totally forget she's British! She got a lot of coaching with the accent and it apparently shows. The media made a big deal of her duplicating the specific regional accent, but since I live nearby (in Delaware) I never really noticed except when she'd say "wooter" 😆

I wouldn't have kept that secret. He did something wrong and it's not teaching the kid the right lesson. It was an accident, but an extremely bad one. I don't think there was a writing error. I think the dad or the uncle went back and got the gun. It makes sense from a kids perspective to put it back. And Billy didn't know.

CORRECTION Mr. TV... Julianne Nicholson, who played Lori Ross won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress. Her first, after an excellent 20+ year career. She's amazing in absolutely everything she does. As a loooooongtime fan, it was so gratifying to see her get some recognition. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the show. I was so excited when I saw that you were watching. It was a blast. Loved it!

They don’t ever put kids in jail, it’s always juvenile and then when they turn of age, they move them to jail. You ate thinking of is how they charge children, normally they’re charged as juveniles unless it’s so heinous they charge them as an adult.

Being tried as an adult as a kid would result in the kid being sent to juvenile detention until they aged out which is either 18 or in some states 21. Once they age out, they serve the rest of their conviction in adult jail.

Watch "Broadchurch" with Olivia Colman and David Tennant. Same style of local gritty detective story, but set in a small English town. You will definitely enjoy it.

I would love for you to watch The Outsider that was also on HBO. Julianne Nicholson is also in it and stars Ben Mendelssohn and Jason Bateman. It is more supernatural than Mare of Eastown but also kind of similar.

Hells yeah!! I love Julianne too. Since the short-lived but way fun NBC series, The Others waaaaaaaay back in 2000ish. Morgan & Wong and a ton of X Files alumni, with Julianne in the lead. She was so adorable.

I don't think the court would consider it an accident since he took the loaded gun there. The ending of this show reminds me of a movie that I highly recommend...but I can't say what it is because it might give away the mystery :(
