Great series!! Thanks for the info on Carlo. I live up in the Caledon area so having a good MG resource is awesome. Definitely one downside to this bike (V7 Special) is the challenge of getting accessories and other parts. The bike is wonderful though so well worth it in the end. Cheers Kevin

Glad to hear, thanks a ton. It took a while to get through these videos because of some personal stuff... had to say goodbye to my dog of 15 years... Trying to get back in the saddle again and go back to put out videos more regularly. Stay tuned, and thank you for the encouragement :)

LOL, you gotta love the guys that can just look at or listen to an engine running and they're like "AHA! I know what it is!" I had a mechanic who had an old Volvo P1800 3 bays away from him, and he said to me, "hold on" then he yelled over to his guy, "Hey, check the #3 spark plug, I bet it's fouled" ... sure enough, he could HEAR that that one cylinder was running rich, LOL.

Based on on your to a comment here - Guzzi being brash and raw vs a smooth and buttery Asian bike… what would you say for a v7 850 being a first bike? I have no endorsement but around 2 hours of practice on a 250/300 dual sport. It seems like Guzzi at low gears is definitely something to handle, and read another comment elsewhere in how the clutch is “hard to get to” - (?)
@YouMotorcycle10 күн бұрын
I guess my question is... Why? You want your first bike to be something that you can learn on, figure out what you do and don't like, how you will and won't ride, and then quickly sell hopefully without much loss. I always recommend people buy a several year old used motorcycle as their first bike. I don't think any new bike makes good sense for beginners to buy. Buy used. If you drop it, oh well, someone else probably already did. Sell it, buy what you really want the next year... but if you start with that bike you really want, like a new V7, and you drop it, congratulations, you just dented a $700 tank. Why?

Thanks Pat. So far I think that Moto-K seat cover is going to hold up just fine. Although, one day, maybe during the winter, I'll buy the right staples for my staple gun and add a few more in there.

I’m considering for midweight bike and ADV, like KTM 890 or CFMoto 800 T
@YouMotorcycle4 ай бұрын
@@Confedyank beware of abysmal resale values on cf moto bikes. At least that's the case here anyway. People are pricing at 40% loses vs what they paid for their bikes the year before and still can't find buyers. That being said, if you want to go that route, wait for a used one and you'll save thousands and thousands! 💸👉🏻🚽

@@YouMotorcycle If I wanted resale value, I'll just buy a new RE, they go for more than new here, lol. I just want something to thrash on trails up in mountains down here, lol

I hear some people say the Guzzi V7 is not smooth at low speed, like when you try to just give a little bit of throttle it will kick. Do you get this with yours?
@YouMotorcycleАй бұрын
@@David_loves_foods if you want smoothness you don't get a Guzzi. Guzzi is brash and raw. That's how it's meant to be. If you want something buttery smooth get an Asian bike like the Interceptor or the made in Thailand Triumph Bonneville
