Nora, i really want to do the same, and while i'm far from well off, i do have the ability to help someone. The problem for me, is trust. Can i trust the person. I would open my home to them, meaning they will have their own key. I suppose i would start by just giving them a bed at night. They would have to leave every morning, return at night for a bed. The key would come after a job was aquired.

You cannot know that Laura. You've chosen to believe that, and that's good enough. I however, cannot. For me, the creator is beyond my understanding. Logic will not allow me to believe any of mans many religions. I believe the creator gave us the power of choice, and i choose to believe that no man understands this entity on any level. That situation sounded so " Dickensian", meaning how homeless people are treated reminds me of his novels. He called the ruling classes out, for how they ignored and oppressed the poor back in those days. Because of Margaret Thatcher, they are returning to those times. Back in in England in C.D.'s time, the had the " workhouses," or " poorhouses," with bad conditions. Much like homeless shelters today. " Let them go to the shelter.". Instead of affordable housing. That's what one hers today.

I left school in 1998 (UK) I was a professional footballer for 5 years earning upwards of 90k a year. But only 8 years later I was bankrupt, homeless, desperate & chronically addicted to alcohol & drugs. My god I nearly didn't make it. I'm lucky I did but I put the necessary action in to change my life I couldn't take anymore of that hopeless existence and I knew I had more to offer this world. I needed help along the way ie professional people, rehabs, psychiatric wards etc which I'm so grateful for. I'm now a healthcare worker with 9 years of sobriety - also have two beautiful children and a wife. Don't give up. Don't give in. Life can get better if you want it to. 💕

I live in Montreal and there are thousands homeless both men and women. Most sleep in shelters but some sleep in tents throughout the winter. Some even sleep without tents, just a mattress in front of some store side porch with a sleeping bag or a blanket. You will also find them sleeping on a Tim Hortons table with a coffee - during all night. Some don't sleep at night, stay awake and walk then sleep during the day in a subway station

@@ghassanjenainaty4212 I see you may be living perhaps in the middle est. I understand that Canada and the US are being seen as 'rich' countries by the rest of the world. Myself I have been living in a poor country before coming to Canada and I was thinking that Canada must be like heaven. The truth is, the US is a vert rich country where most of the money is kept by very few persons. The middle class lives pretty well (but it's stressful to keep a good job). Then you have the people with really low income. These account for about 10% of the US population. Among these poorer people, many loose their jobs, have family difficulties, health problems, drug problems, and for other reasons many end up in the streets where they live WORST than most of the poor people around the world, worst than the poorest africans in Africa. It's a very disturbing reality. The country doesn't help the homeless, it may provide some crowded shelter buildings but otherwise homeless get no or very little money to survive. There are about half a million homeless people in the US. As for Canada, it's like the US but with 1000 times less budget. Canada is actually not a rich country. It's just that we are neighbor with the richest country so we share this status, but most canadians struggle to pay their rent or mortgage and to keep a decent job. In Vancouver for example, home owners pay 80% of their income for their mortgage. If you finished reading my comment, I suggest watching this documentary, in particular the mother with children working three jobs and living in a hotel room. It will give you the actual feeling of living in the US and being poor kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKincpSBf71-hqc

Too bad that we are in the 21th century and we have to see people living in the streets and parks. It is obvious that the economical system in the US focus more on the interests of rich and classy bussiness rather than humane purpose ! I also wonder why some people have to work 2 or 3 jobs just to manage to pay all their taxes and bills ? They are humans rather than machines ! I wonder if such a horrible system could survive for longer period ! @@ghassanjenainaty4212 Capitalism.. is a pretty wild animal. Around the world there is a lot of "America" propaganda - it's marketing promoted by movies and brands. But in real life, Capitalism is all about exploitation. We may even say it's all about slavery. The wealthy countries have built their wealth on the labor of slaves (plantations of sugar, cocoa, cotton and so on). Today, they are building their wealth on the labor of 'economy slaves'. The lower paid people in the US and around the world all are working for rich corporations. In the end, people around the world are getting a better life, but many generations will suffer until we get there.

Is there a reason a god would let people suffer ? No it's down to life and life deals a bad card sometimes, is it not time for them than can to help them that need it,is it not the act of one person of a true God in that person considering we are supposed to be Gods children? Is it not time for them that are in a position to help to do so. Don't look up to the stars for help just be that person that can!

mega but people who are evil are not content with mere survival, they want UNLIMITED POWER, including the ability to dictate life or death over others...... which is why they create the conditions which young girls like her in these hellhole traps find themselves in
@ildikoivanyi67226 жыл бұрын
No, free market capitalism actually lifts everybody up, but we live under socialism in the US and Canada. Government is the biggest cause of increasing homelessness.
@billjoe396 жыл бұрын
ildiko perhaps when you choose to pull your head out of your ass you can clarify......so 150 million Americans presently are at poverty level because of America's 'socialist system' ? Since when did America become leftie/socialist ? Examples ? How is massive government handouts to private business and banks an example of socialism ? Paid stooges like you on a sort of psyc op or disinformation campaign apparently are appealing to six graders
@ildikoivanyi67226 жыл бұрын
Yes that is the reason, it is because of socialism. America started becoming socialist incrementally. If a country has welfare programs it is definitely socialist. Public schooling is socialist because it is forced on the public through taxation. Obamacare was a big step in making healthcare in America fully socialist. Many people do not see it happening because it's a gradual process, as the laws, regulations increase, and before you know it you're ensalved because the government now controls everything, even family formation, marriage, divorce, which it has no business in.

Dont think i would ask her anything in return other than probably try to get a job, and eventually moving on with her life. Since it will be temporaly. Wow, this was so sad. I am a child welfare social worker and it breaks my heart to see a child age out of the system and end up homeless. If she came into foster care at age 4, it amazes me that she went through so many homes. She should have been adopted by the time she was 6. So so sad. I wish she would reach out to that last foster mom she had for some help.

@freakinfrugal52686 жыл бұрын
I suppose it depends where you are, and this girl was in Canada, but in the US, there is federal law dictating how long children can be in placement before their goal switches to adoption (12 to 15 months), and a child who came into the system that young should have been adopted. Kids do get abused in foster care, but it is a gross overgeneralization to say that it's anywhere near the majority; that simply is not true. They have all, by definition of having been removed from their homes of origin, suffered trauma, so that will impact their social and emotional development. However, not all develop mental illnesses and not all, or even the majority, are thrown out on the streets once they grow up. In fact, they can receive services until age 21, which is well past the age of legal adulthood. The majority of kids who come into the foster care system are actually reunified with their parents. The next largest group will end up permanently with other family members. Then the next largest group will end up adopted. It is very small proportion of kids who age out of the system on their own.
