Thank you AD I ATG, I'm glad to see all the boys looking so happy and healthy. I don't know why, but they do remind me of big fluffy toddlers. They bring a smile to my face with their antics. 💖💖💖

I haven't seen a video of this fabulous troop in along time. I missed watching there playing. Thank you for the pleasure of waching them. Please keep the videos coming more often. 😊

I don’t get it. All these handsome silverbacks needing a troop and there are at least 3 females in Japan right now that need a silverback to start their own families. I really don’t understand the politics of other countries when dealing with placing and protecting the species.

Different countries, different rules Import/export of food is already a tricky subject so you can imagine that live animals is a whole other nightmare Even in the US where zoos tend to work together there are plenty of bachelor groups because sometimes the males are not a good match for the females and sometimes there's just no space to house them The worst sin in Japanese zoos is 2 silverbacks sharing the same space WITH females around causing an endless fight over mating rights When silverbacks are housed without femaled they tend to get along just fine

Our zoos don’t trade with Japanese zoos because animals have no protective rights in Japan.

How are all those silverback gorillas living together and not killing each other? Odd
@AllThingsGorilla12 сағат бұрын
Because they have lived together since they were very young, except for Lengai and Meru, who are siblings, the other members are not biologically related. However, they share a strong bond and have grown up together like a family.

Another thing might be that there's also no females. So although there is a dominant male in both groups, they are not in competition with each other for her.

3 silverbacks, how is there not a dead on or possibly 2 of them by now. This is a ticking time bomb the zookeepers are playing with. This would never be in the wild.
