I first figured out I wanted an older partner when I was a freshman and sophomore in high school, 10 years ago. I was 15 at the time and a teacher of mine was 23 or so. That age gap was huge, too huge for me but it showed me how secure she was and how comfortable I could feel around her, we connected almost immediately as friends not just as student and teacher. Not to mention she's good looking, I'll remember her as someone I looked up to, especially while dealing with struggles both of those years. Unfortunately we of course had to cut ties once I graduated but those memories will always be with me.

I love your thinking but i recently rejected a 39 yr old man because as i am in my early 50’s i am concerned that even though he is smitten with me now, later on when he craves to have his own children, i wont be able to give him that. Heartbreak down the road. I cant get past that thinking. I have my adult kids. You say men get tired of having the carry the relationship with younger women. As an older woman, well even as a younger one, I've almost always felt I had to carry the conversations with most men. That's one of the many reasons I've pretty much given up on men. The vast majority have difficulty leading. I'm a dominant women, but I'd much rather the man lead. But, if he doesn't, I will. That just ruins for me. I want a secure, masculine man. So hard to find. I'm open to younger men because they're the ones that hit on me, but most, even those over 40 still have a lot of growing up to do. Sadly.

Thanks for this video Mat! A 30 years old single decent good looking guy said that he likes me, that he likes my personality and my body. I tried to discouraged him every now and then so he will stop the communication. I'm kinda worried because I know I'll fall for him anytime if I let myself to. I loved this Matt. Finally someone mentioned the masculine/feminine pull. It's very very true. I see it with my lion!! We 100% have this romantic dance...but it took me at least 7 months to stop being afraid of him. The idea of cougar, sugar mommas and mommy issues play a massive role in our society. But for me it was if he ends up loving me and I cannot give him children that would break my heart!! I recently went out on a first date with a professional rugby player who is 14 years younger, I look a lot younger than my actual age 😂 Unfortunately he had to travel back to his country the very next day but we continue to talk all the time. When I found out his age I tried pushing him away and he called me out on it and told me that the age gap didn’t make a difference to him bc he didn’t remember the last time he had connected with anyone like we did. So what you say about having that connection overriding age difference is so spot on. In many ways I have found him to be so much more mature than men who are older than me and I love that he surprises me in so many ways. I really appreciate videos like this bc not long ago I watched a “well known relationship expert” do a video on this same subject matter and he dissuaded a younger man from dating an older woman, completely dismissing the fact that they had a true connection and brushed it off as “it’s just not a good idea/goes against nature” simply bc the woman was older. So thank you for bringing attention to this topic and treating it with such respect! 🙌
