This is more than just an excuse, it's a side effect that comes from being bullied. Being bullied results in a mental illness for some and since in America, there is such easy access to guns, it's easier for these kids to let go of some steam. All these shooters were boys and boys/men don't handle depression well. Bullying just like medication, may come with serious side effects.

Aside from bullying being a major cause in most of these cases, let’s not forget the irresponsible family members who leave their guns laying around. Easy access, unpunished bullying, failure to recognize serious mental issues before said issues “announce” themselves in a rude, sharp manner.

Caucasian parents, please be nosy and find out what's going on in your children's lives. I remember in middle and high school, so many Caucasian kids hid so much from their parents. They tend to internalize their emotions and are easily influenced (from other acts of violence) in my experience. Schools also need to do a better job of punishing bullies, this would be huge in preventing school shootings from bullied kids.

Teaching kids to never fight breaks them. If you’re being bullied fight back. I grew up in the 80s once I told my dad I was being bullied. He said if you don’t fight back like a man it’ll always be that way. I told him the guy was huge he said you don’t have to win you just have to be willing to fight. That worked the guy left me alone from the time I hit back on. Stop tying these kids hands leaving them no hope.
