Very, very helpful tips! E-filling is my biggest challenge. I love how she talks about direction, angle, and speed. I have the angle down, and the direction but sometimes I have trouble with what speed I should use. Can she do another video on doing your own nails. I know Mellisa did one but I’d like to see this lady do one. She’s a great instructor!

Great video! The amount of misinformation that's out there about electric files is ridiculous. I recently fell into a terrible comment section on TikTok and the amount of wrong things being said was staggering. I actually had one girl try to tell me that an e-file should never be used with gel because the e-file made the gel melt into your nail and that's why it felt hot. 😳😳 I tried to set her straight but I know she still believes what she said. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. Just crazy. 🤦♀️

I am super super new I am also left handed I've been watching a lot of videos you're the first person to say something about a left-handed bit what does that mean what would happen if I used a right-handed bit in my left hand
@youngnailsinc8 ай бұрын
Right and left handed bits are cut in different directions. A right handed bit is designed to cut through product when the hand piece is rotating in the “forward” direction & working from right to left on the nail. Left handed pits are cut in the opposite direction & cut best when in “reverse” and working from left to right. If you use a right handed bit with your left hand, it won’t cut as it should and can cause more heat because you may be more inclined to use more pressure.

I really appreciate your support and knowledge. When I first started using a efile I would overfill and end up with ring of fire around my cuticle area and I don't think that pressure is able to be taught as such it's about learning how much pressure you should use # youngnails

Looking forward to watching this video. I just got a new efile this morning that I ordered and am so excited to start using it. Ive had a super cheap store bought battery operated file that couldnt file to save A life for a little while but it was good for practice more for natural nails not acrylics. After mostley hand filing now that im starting to learn acrylics im looking forward to giving my hands A break lol. Thank you guys for such amazing content ❤️.

If you are doing your own nails with an e-file do you have go switch to a L hand bit when working on the R hand ?
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
If your bit doesn’t specify if it’s right or left handed, like our coarse safety bit, then you can use it in forward and reverse for both hands

Do you have any input for the homebody that just does their own nails do you still switch the direction of a bit depending on which hand you are working with or working on
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
if you are right handed and you are e-filing your right hand using your left, you switch to reverse depending on which way your right hand is facing. If that makes sense. If you have your fingers bent downward into your palm like almost making a fist, you use reverse. If you work on your right hand while it is flat facing away from you keep it in forward.

When I’m doing my own nails do I need to switch from right handed to left handed bits when I’m using my left hand to do my right hand? I’m right handed and I do my dominant hand the same way as my non dominant hand so essentially like a left handed person, but I’ve just been using my right handed safety bit to do both hands.
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
If you are using bits that specify that they are right or left handed then yes. If you are using a bit that doesn't, like our coarse safety bit, you can just switch to forward or reverse

@chaozinga2 жыл бұрын
Faye, Ceramic bits work just as carbide, what's great about them is that they don't build up heat as carbide bits do. So you won't have those heat spikes that can happen with carbide bits when you hold it in one spot for too long. I hope that makes sense 😊
