These dudes have me lost. Maybe I am too old school (82 off the porch) but I aint ever seen someone shake Gd then turn around & shake Stone to another dude. I just showed this to a friend of mine who is a real old school South Sider Stone (generation before me even) & he just laughed & said " young cats today". I get having friends from different organizations, I had friends who were lords & a BPS, but we aint ever shaked up like that. And the one kid shaking up GD and it sounds like he saying 4nem.. Its Folks Nem... not 4nem if he is a G. Another term that we never used was OG back in the day.. That is some LA stuff.. but I get the meaning.. Well this old G's advice is to get out of the hood, always a way if you choose too. I live in a $300,000 plus home with acres of land (that I own). I put in different work from what I did in the 80's & 90's to improve..its called... Growth & Development! Y'all need to listen to the older homies out on these platforms otherwise you can easily be another statistic in the Tribune. 🔯

I lived on 120th and Princeton in the 70s as a kid. We used to go over there to the Shrimp Boat, people from the Gardens would try to rob you while you sit in the lot. Don't get caught under the viaduct late at night even back then. It was all white on my block. We shopped at Rosebud Farms as well. For anyone who doesn't think that it's Chicago, Chicago police have always patrolled that area! If you go down 127th, you go under that viaduct and street and come up on 130th! Past 127th is Calumet Park heading towards the Cal Sag Channel and old drive in theater. I've been in the Gardens once a few years ago because of a woman, but know of a teenager who was killed there in the 80s.

They live in a city. There’s no modern convenience that they don’t have access to including having the ability to do anything that they want to do in life. There’s people in this country that live an hour away from the nearest store or paved road and manage to go to work every day and live their best life. There’s people that drive to whole other states to work and back home every day. If you live in a city then you got no reason to complain about not having access to the things you need.

All them are lil kids trying to act grown the garden's is old news . Everyone moved out of there and up top is old. They basically lil kids shooting across the street from each other. That's not project they row houses and all real Chicago projects is down. They dont got nothing better to do but shoot each other now. Gang banging was legit in og day's. Wearing colors and hats and had real og's on the block that will come check u 💯 since everyone got lock up these streets went backwards now. Kids dont underwear back then u get a violation for saying 4nem on any gang it stand for four courner hustler from west side. Back in the days u couldn't say that in gardens or no where on the streets. U had to get acknowledged just to get across the street. We was fighting back then but now guys don't even fight they just shoot the person. U can tell its so dry u dont see nobody walking or out there hanging out there no more. Chicago done got extremely dry

I’m trying to figure out this generation this must be up the younger one. I know more than them and we prob the same age. The gardens had the store up top where u get everything from almost, a lil chicken wing spot with mild sauce use to be fye. The farm grocery store where u get your pig feet, smoked meat, etc. the housing authority. They definitely the younger generation. That resource center is new and the schools remodeled. A great uncle played at Carver.
