This is correct, however, as far as we're aware, this only applies to "ocean fishing" and not the bays, ports, freshwater areas, etc. Regardless, rules and regulations are subject to change from year to year, so it's always a good idea to check before you head out. @@chucheponce7222 Correct, the 2023 ocean salmon season is closed. This happens from time to time in order to protect decreasing fish populations. Rules and regs can change every year, so it's super important to stay informed before you go fishing. Tight lines!

I'm 68 been fishing for stripers for 60 years, all the big bass been gone since the 1990s your only hear about a big one now and then, for the last 7 years my biggest is 24 in and I fish every week , I let them go for the last 30 years!
