Y'all are the only utubers that I'm like yeah I wanna meet them lol might sound weird but y'all have always stayed so genuine, kept ur content so real and raw no matter the direction others were going. Y'all have made me cry many many times from some of the real situations y'all vlog. From the depression videos from last year to the recent addiction videos. We're 2 and through as well. Now that my kids are getting older we're getting some "freedom" back. No diapers, milk, worrying about nap schedules. It's a nice season of life to be in.

I wouldn't look at taking a break from it as a bad thing. It is there to enhance your lives not to stop you from living and enjoying it. You will be setting yourselves up for failure if it is a 24/7 365 yr. Getting into the habit of NOT beating yourself up over shortcomings is one of the hardest things I find. This is interesting to me, I’ve suffered from depression and severe anxiety for 11 years (post sexual assault) and developed an addiction to any and all medications that could numb the pain. My partner is the most patient and loving man I’ve ever known and has not only put up with me but helped me get through it and yeah we’ve had rough times but I wake up every day because of him. He’s never once thought about leaving me and he says he never will because he loves me and addiction is outside of my control, so he can’t hold it against me ever, even when he’s really fed up and mad and hates me a little bit. I’m so greatful for him and his strength and I’m so happy you have each other also, it’s not easy, in fact it’s pretty damn hard! We’re getting married in 85 days!! 💜

One of the things that bugs me too is how people nag family KZbinrs about having more kids! That's something in everyday life that you wouldn't even ask friends (yes, maybe your best friend but not general friends), so why is it "OK" to nag KZbinrs about it? If you have more kids, wonderful, we'd love to watch them grow up too, but if you don't, we'll still enjoy Gaines & Brookes grow up! It's none of our business to ask that! It's only OK to ask about things you choose to talk about with us. If you don't want to talk about it, we have no business asking about things that would normally stay private with general friends. Just cos you put your lives up on KZbin doesn't mean that everything is up for discussion!

Before we had kids my husband and I said we wanted 4-6 kids. After dealing with infertility, two high risk pregnancies, two premature births and postpartum depression both times, we stopped at two. People constantly asked when we were having the next one and like you, I got sooooo tired of the questions! I can tell you that eventually the questions do stop...just hang in there. My husband and I have been so thankful that with all the difficulties, we ended up with two boys who were so sweet when they were little and have grown to be kind, smart and strong young men...one in high school and one in college. I really enjoy watching both your channels. You guys are doing an amazing job with your children and your relationship. Take care Cullen and Katie. Hug those sweet children as often as you can! 🙂

After losing 9 babies we finally got our rainbow and our family felt complete to us. Someone told me once people should have 3 kids. One foe each of you and one for God. Or something like that. I have 2 and wish I had 3 but hasnt happened. My mom just has one sibling and as a kid I didn’t have cousins until I was so old because she had kids later. So had a small family. Then my moms friend only had two kids and one died as a young Adult. So that sibling says it’s quite lonely.

Katie, I totally can relate to the last assumption. I had one baby at 19 and another at 28. People constantly ask me, even to this day, if I'm going to have another baby. For years I struggled with infertility. So even after my son was born, I wanted another baby, and didn't prevent it, It just never worked out. Now that my son is 8, I can't even imagine having another one. I feel like you. I have moved on with that chapter of my life. It's been an emotional roller coaster, but I can say that in the last year, I have come to terms with it and moved on. No more babies for me. I can watch them for you, then send them home.

Wishing you luck and blessings on continuing and deepening your marriage and addiction/co-dependence journey Cullen, seems you like saying of the women in your life--your sister and now Katie-- that they "mother" you. And perhaps that it gives you some kind of permission to act inappropriately. When in addiction and early recovery, I had to deal with and recover from those kinds of thoughts and feelings.. You might consider working on giving that some inventory thought. As I say, I have been there - but of course finally after 35 years sober (and SO old) , I have long graduated from it. Lots of people have similar issues when drinking and for some time thereafter.....

I’m pregnant with our 4th child and dude... I finally understand what people mean when they say that they knew when they were done. Not because I don’t love my children, but I’m just ready for my body to be my own again! After giving it up periodically for the past 10 years since I was 19 and then also being a stay home mom for that long too, I don’t think it’s selfish at all to not want to be pregnant anymore after this. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Totally get it guys! We have two kids and I am done. I don't want to start again, don't want to be going through the baby phase again, waking up in the night (I like sleeping!!) or not knowing what they want as they can't talk. There are still times when I think about the idea and a tiny part of me would like just one more. But I am happy to watch my girls grow, they are going to be 5 and 9 this year. :)

Marriage is a lot more fun and a lot easier before you have kids! My husband and I have been together for 17 years and we only really started having hard times (relationship-wise) after we had kids. We're fine now but there were a lot of rough spots along the way!
