Wow thank you all so much for the responses. It was unexpected and I really appreciate it. We've been together for about one year now. I wanted to take things slow and he needs to feel comfortable and connected to someone in order to have sex, so we didn't become sexually intimate until about 3 months in. We cuddled and kissed a lot though. He also told me he masturbated everyday (said it helped with stress and improved his judgement and discernment when dating). I don't think he masturbates that often, if at all, anymore though. When we discussed sexual expectations, he told me his preference was 3-4x per week, which actually pleasantly surprised me. At the beginning, we were having sex probably 2-3x per week, and I was satisfied, but it tapered down to about once a week after a few months (around when the honeymoon phase ended). We've only had sex once in the past few weeks. We don't even make out anymore. Just kisses when we greet and say goodbye. However, other forms of affection are still strong - cuddling on the couch and in bed, hand holding during walks, hand on my leg while driving, etc. He has been stressed at work, but he always has been - I think it's just that his hatred for his job only grows over time. He always complains about being tired, but so am I, but I'm almost never too tired to have sex. He eats a generally healthy diet, works out 3-4x per week, stretches a lot, isn't overweight, and generally uses clean/green household products and toiletries. I don't know if he's low T or not. He's been in therapy on and off for years (lots of trauma in his past), but currently is not in therapy, but he might be open to going to couple's counseling with me if I brought it up. I don't think he's cheating on me, but I can't rule it out. He usually seems sexually responsive, but if I don't initiate sex, it will almost never happen. Y'all don't have to feel obligated to respond again - I just appreciate the things that were brought up - it helped me consider the possibilities and clarify points to be discussed with him. Ultimately, I just need to have a respectful conversation with him. Hoping for the best and praying that he will be open and receptive, even if it means discovering that we are just sexually incompatible 😢
