I've always had chronic insomnia for years, but ever since I started meditating for15 minutes before going to bed every night, my sleep has gotten so much better! At first, I didn't think it would work but after hearing more than 10 health gurus on KZbin swear by it, I finally tried and thank goodness I did! I am also incorporating compassion and "being in the present moment" into my daily practice now and that has brought me so much inner peace.

@Sarah H Save people from "their thoughts". You are not your thoughts. He gave us Dharma wisdom so we could live happy lives. It is the only path to true happiness. Also, Buddha was not a god. People of many other religions believe that Buddha was a god like Jesus, Allah, etc. May you and all sentient beings be forever happy.

I was fortunate enough to practice with Ani Trime for the last two and a half years of her life. I did three retreats with her, and the last one was about 2 months before she died. Anam Thubten was there, and while I didn't know she was dying, she did. We had a dance party the night before the end of the program. She danced with everyone, knowing the end was near. About 3 weeks later, when I visited her in the hospital, she shared things with me that I'm sure she didn't share with a whole lot of people, and looking back, I am honored that she trusted me with her personal thoughts. The day she died, I was driving for uber, and I got a call to the hospital she was in. And I knew it was a sign. She died 2 hours after I got there, she passed away. But she is still in my heart

I've actually imagined my anxiety away. Whenever I feel anxious or a panic attack coming on, I just imagine myself in a good place and breathe slowly. The mind may control the body, but the breath is the king of the mind.

@@petrasant5495 basically I saw this empty clear bottle in the sky. You could see the blue sky kinda thru the bottle, that's how clear it was. Then there were birds, crows most likely flying near the opening of the bottle. When they got close to the opening, they turned to flower petals and filled up the bottle.

We make our world with out thoughts and we are what we think or what we imagine ourselves to be. "Imagination is stronger than knowledge. and with it you can encircle the world." We can use our mind and our imagination to feel better. Let's talk nice to ourselves. Let's ask... "What happened to you that was really good?" More time thinking please...recognise what we think and let it go...ping! ok I set my intention... to think well of myself...I deserve it!

t's true to a certain extent. Some people think the macro will change if we change our minds but it's kinda about correcting our reactions to this instead. My spiritual tradition at Drukama teaches the approach to this stuff if you want to check it out. Be well everyone!

To make it simpler meditation is awareness without thought, to think you need time past and future In the present moment you can’t think. You need past or future so you can say your in the timeless state.
@puggilove

Thoughts arise from birth to death, theyre not a choice, and you cant eliminate thought until the brain dies. Open monitoring is harder for people than focused awareness on an object such as a thought or the breath - your comment seems to dismiss the teachings of the wise woman.

God is the source of all our joys and sorrows, no one else or nothing else. How do we know this ? He knows your thoughts even before you will think about them. To think other wise is like saying, the car motor is the eternal power of your vehicle. When all of a sudden you begin to it see it differently when your car runs out of gas !! You begin to understand the motor is useless without the gas ! Your life is exactly the same way without Jesus ! You may think everything is okay until you experience the moment when there is no gas !! Jesus reminded us in another way when he said. Do not fear the one who can destroy the body, but fear the one who can destroy the body, soul and spirit !!

Because you know to say tgat there is the super powered God like this.but you dont do any thing. All things are said by her with self experiance. Hapiness is with yourself otherwise it is not in external side of your body or with other external source...please think rationaly...

Religion is too complicated for me. We keep chickens in our old car. Is there another heaven for souls and spirits after they are destroyed? It's all just riddles (or truisms) and not well explained ones either. Perhaps we are not meant to think?

Your life does not come from your mind. It comes from God. And it is God who created the mind. You cannot worship what is created as your god and refuse to worship God who created your mind. This is demonic deception. Satan has put mankind in bondage and in a state of confusion. Mankind is worshiping Satan instead of God who created them and who created the food they eat to stay alive. What an abomination. Apostle R.A.

she sounds like an old lesbian but anyway, i just disagree that it's all in our mind..bcoz experience itself brings sorrow. happiness from peace of mind if not corrupted from desires of the world indeed.
@at1one
@at1one 7 жыл бұрын
Jenova Mon Experience itself does not bring sorrow. To an awoken mind all labels of emotion or comparison are absent, everything just is. Our perspective is responsible for our experience, our experience is responsible for our thoughts and emotions, our thoughts and emotions manifest our reality. (Control your perspective = control your reality)
@MsGantz89

Anormal Guy thanks for the insight. but you know, i try it many times or all the times now since i'vr learned of it but often times reality can't be helped even if i chant to myself of seeing right in front of me claiming the results i wish it'd be.
@at1one
@at1one 7 жыл бұрын
Jenova Mon Trying to change reality from the outside is like pushing a mule out of the way instead of leading it away with a carrot. Changing one's own perspective will change one's own reality which will reflect on to all realities. Listen to your thought process if your thoughts aren't coming from a place of love, understanding, patience, and nonjudgment it is not your true self you will not get the reality you desire. It's not about how things were or how things are going to be it's about right now. What are you thinking, why are you thinking it and from what perspective is it coming from.
@MsGantz89
@MsGantz89 7 жыл бұрын
Anormal Guy it sounds like the techniques which quantum jumping or reality timeline shifting teachers on youtube says. by changing our minds perspectives will change reality. i cant buy it i guess. bcoz it only falls to the topic of "law of attraction" not the changing of reality you know. and it is only applicable for the future not for past events. if you want to change something from the past you'll only have a make belief program to yourself that this or that didn't or never happened, or it happen this or that way which in short making a joke out of your illusion to believe what u wanna believe to happen in your history. which is "pretending" as the very short term of it. anyway thank you for sharing
@at1one
@at1one 7 жыл бұрын
Jenova Mon Aka. Smarty McFly. ;) We cant change the past. Nor should we want to. But it is as easy as changing the way you perceive the past. if you can't do that you're going to stay stuck in it and even worse doomed to repeat it. Whatever it is that happened if you don't see it in a way that made you stronger or a better person it's only going to continue to hurt you. (You write your story and no one els.)
