Great vid! LNER has returned due to VTEC overbidding on the Franchise, when winning it in November 2014 and the vid is the most succinct timing.

After rewatching every single video from the Your Model Railway Village Series I want to say that this is an amazing series! Please if you are able to, continue all of the projects you were going to start like the weathering for the house, the 9a and 9b videos, and the garage stuff. I absolutely love this series and would love to see how it ends up. Also, amazing video and keep up the great work.

Hi Will, If your planning to donate this once finished, bare in mind that the track is steel and will rust. Therefore could do with replacing at it will now work reliably over time. Just a heads-up.

Tip: it is possible to remove fan noise from your soundtrack using Audacity. You can record direct to Audacity using a separate mike, or strip the audio from the video and add it back. I use Windows Live Movie maker for this. What you have to do in Audacity is select the area of the recording where the fan is running, get a sample, then select the whole recording and choose noise reduction.

Hi Will, glad to see you back. I started this project when it came out but stopped when I moved house to a smaller one. The railway was demoted to a shed, which meant downsizing to N-Gauge (nothing wrong with that, but no room for 'Your Model Railway Village'!). Still got most of the first 20 issues.Do you have the YMRV vids in a single playlist? It would make it easier to follow progress. Cheers, Jim L

'Your Eventual Model Railway Village' by Hachette. Stretched to HOW MANY issues?!! I can honestly swear that I heard you mention 120 issues just now! No locomotive model was ever issued though they did release two OO Gauge Mk1 carriages in LMS livery and a couple of four wheel freight wagons across four issues IIRC ... 'Your Seriously Eventual & Incomplete Model Railway Village If You Can Afford It' by Hachette: A part-works collection of cheap and cheerful Chinese knock-offs so maybe just as well there were no locomotives, controllers and things which catch fire in the night!

Sorry but I still can’t get over the funny side of this. So in England you guys start saying your roasting at about 25-30° but from where I come from (Australia) 25° is considered “mild”. Boy I would love to have your weather.
@DaedalusYoung6 жыл бұрын
It might be because of humidity. 25 is hot because of the high humidity.
@unlockingsnow736 жыл бұрын
Daedalus Young Maybe, then again i bet you the middle easterners are having a laugh at Australian weather.
@jackm67046 жыл бұрын
It is because in england it is rainy and cold most of the time about 8-19 degree's and rarely 20-25 and super rarely 25-30 and like once 40

😁For £1200 you could build a full DCC layout minus the baseboards in a 1 car size garage with 2 ovals of best quality peco track , Bachmann scenecraft buildings or Hornbys own buildings and maybe a loco and few coaches to boot ! Similar to my layout. Puts into perspective how much better value Hornby , Bachmann, and Peco products are compared to this at the huge prices they charge for this alone !?
@Sonderax6 жыл бұрын
you well need a seperate room for this as the layout is pretty huge
