Just fyi, I found some Glock mags in the back of my safe that literally had been in there fully loaded for over 12 years and was curious if they would work so I proceeded to the range and guess what? They worked flawlessly. “I’m in no way saying that this should be done with any mags” but, it was pretty cool that this time they did work. Hope everyone has a blessed day and stay safe.

Wouldn't applying lubricants to magazines attract more debris to cause more malfunctions?

Yeah in general all manufacturer recommendations are to not lubricate any magazine internals. If you need to use some oil for corrosion protection on the inside of the body or the spring, it should be followed by wiping with a dry cloth to remove all excess oil. Definitely something that should be called out.
