I'm not going to lie... I subscribe to a lot of drum channels... But yours is by far the best at teaching in simple layman's terms that I can relate to and that is very useful to me. Drumming, although I have been in it for many many years, has always seemed like a mystery to me because I never had formal training. You make everything so simple, understandable and easily attainable. I love your attitude, your Manner and your laid-back Style. It's a pleasure to watch all of your videos and I am so glad that I found your Channel. Please keep up the great work and good luck in all of your endeavors, Rob!

Hey big Rob, yo man you are without doubt one if not the best drum instructor on the net. Currently I fly with Drumeo, working on level 4 as of this month. But, and this is a serious but, whenever I get bogged down with trying to interpret and learn from some of Drumeo’s professionals, I turn to your channel because this is where I go to learn whenever I get confused and I’m struggling to understand a lesson. And without fail you always set me straight. You have a rare gift. Thanks man, as always once again you made what seems difficult easy. Drummerman Steve.

It seems you focus on instilling the feel behind the rudiment and work from there. I really like that. The character should always be behind the drumming in my opinion. I also saw some comments about not having formal education behind the drums, and I can relate greatly. Your videos definitely do come across on a level that’s easy to digest. Keep it up man!

When I started learning the rudiments 30+ years ago, i seemed to have overlooked the importance of the 6 stroke roll. After a several year hiatus, I am trying to get back into the swing of this, and I am regretful that I didn't spend more time with this roll back then cus I am finding it more difficult to get this stuff down now that I am getting older. Thank you for this excellent lesson!

I'm same. Playing 40 yrs. I always go back to the simplest exercises. Mainly cuz I suck and can't even do a completely clean single stroke but the simplest exercises allow me to do things like reinforce keeping time which lo e practicing singles dbls diddles ect. Most bands I'm in all they really want is for me to keep good time, playing volume is consistent, and have a coupla decent fills. So really, if I practice something like this a 6 stroke, with a metronome , my times better, dynamics better, and I can t hff row around a six stroke for fills, there ya go. Instant drummer. Now if I could just remember all the breaks n stops in the songs. Cheers

I have played the drums in various band and groups for over fifty years ( I am 72 ) with numerous lay offs due to work and family etc. I got back into playing four years ago when I retired, and practice every day now for at least two hours. During this time I studied with quite a few of the on - line instructors, some good and some not so good. Since I discovered Rob some months ago I have never looked back - on a different level altogether from all the rest ! I chose to comment on the 6 stroke roll lesson because this is one that always eluded me but now I am getting some really good speed and technique after following Robs lessons on a regular basis ! So thank you Rob and especially for improving my left hand speed in the traditional grip !

Rob, I really appreciate and get a lot out of your excellent videos. I am way overdue in providing this feedback. I can’t wait to start working on these six-stroke roll exercises! I have been fairly obsessed with this particular rudiment for the past several months, working it out almost entirely on the pad. I have deep love for singles, doubles, and the paradiddle family, but there’s something uniquely exciting about the six-stroke roll. It feels like the key to open up some big doors. It feels like a rocket in your hands! Thanks for sharing so many useful tools!
