A lovely cage and plenty of space which is so nice for the piggies🤗💕My two Guinea Pigs are in a traditional wooden hutch which is in a sheltered area.It has two nice bedrooms which are warm and cozy in winter.I live in Cape Town South Africa so our climate is mild which means that they are find outdoors.I have nice cozy blankets for them in winter though I wish I had those cute cozy igloo houses for them they look so nice and cozy.😊🥰💟

Would love to see a video on bladderstones! One of my piggies had surgery for this last Wednesday. Would also love to see your weekly/daily piggie diet, especially in combination with low/medium calcium intake etc. Love your new cage by the way and their zoomies are worth living for!😍🥰

I thought that catching up on your vids would make me too sad cos i recently lost a piggie very suuddenly and unexpectedly (she was fine, eating, pooping, happy and then dead, I was obviously devastated.) but you're the best piggie channel imo! You're a real treasure, honestly! I'd like to thank you for all the information you have given me in the over 3 years since i got my piggies! I know you know what it's like to lose piggies and this was my first piggie loss. Yes! Would love a video on calcium diets. My piggy has always had white deposits in her urine and occasionally some blood for months now. I had a few failed attempts at collecting urine for the vet but the vet said her bladder feels good and since she’s still acting as usual and is happy, I’ve just continued without investigating further.

Well said. There's so much disagreement on which veggies to feed them to avoid bladder stones. I've owned guinea pigs since 1991. Never had a problem with stones in my piggies. They've always been fed on sweetheart cabbage and baby leaves, carrots etc. No problems with gas or stomach upsets. Lettuce just makes them pee a lot and contains laudanum, so I rarely give them that. Plus pellets and plenty of hay. Small amounts of fruit. So much soy products in so many brands of guinea pig pellets, even the popular and most expensive brands. An alien ingredient, mostly used as a cheap filler in dry pet food, that piggies, rabbits, cats and dogs etc would never eat in the wild. The "experts" may come up with a perfect food one day. Hopefully.

Another great video, thanks for sharing your answers and it's lovely to see them trotting around. Bonding is so tough, I have a delicate situation at the moment where the 2 sows I got together pretty much tolerate each other now, but the boar is pretty much who keeps things chill. Luckily the three of them are in a 8x2 c&c setup so they have lots of space, and 2x2 of that is hay in a haykeeper so they can all munch on hay without fighting now, but it definitely worries me about thinking about adding any more until they settle better. Hope you manage to find a piggy or more that will work well with yours!

I have done in the past (on a low setting), which had no adverse effects to the fleece so yes you can, just not too hot as apparently that could melt some fleeces! We just tend to dry on radiators now as I don't think the dryer is vented to the outside 😆 video requests noted thank you 😃

I built a cage based on your old one, but I simplied the construction and changed the dimension meet certain minimal cutting requirements for one of our big box stores (Home Depot). I can't put two my pigs together cause my new one little try to start his anger with my older pig so I just to hold one at day and night try get them happy.even they can't be together. Cleaning is fun.

Glad to hear your beautiful piggies are okay, weighing them is a great way to monitor their health and confirm/refute any worries. I use it as reassurance that Phoebe is still doing well 💕

Hi Sarah I do keep a eye on the Guinea pigs weight Yes letting my dog go was hard but it was right thing to do for him he was in no pain and it was just like he whet sleep which gives me comfort not weird at all thank you nice to see it

I do the same thing as you but the main liners I have to wash every 3-4 days because otherwise it gets pretty nasty pretty quick, no matter cage it is. Then again my largest cage is 27.2 sq ft with 8 piggies, and then my trio who's in a 13. sq ft contains two skinny pigs who pee and poop twice as much. The only cages I can get away with washing main liner once a week is my boys as they are solos that are side by side.

Two Midwest joined together? Yes that should be big enough but do be aware that it can be difficult to bond more than two males. If bonding doesn't work, you will need a back up plan!

It depends on whether you wish to keep owning guinea pigs or not, if you do then yes a young piggie would work or an adult pig if you had a backup plan in case they didn't get along (a rescue is the best option here). An adult of a similar age would also be nice if you didn't want to commit to getting a baby. I have a video called "The Single Guinea Pig Dilemma" which I recommend watching for more info on various options.
