I moved from a 28kWh Ioniq to a used eNiro. Very happy so far.

Sounds very sensible!

Recently picked up a 90k mile e niro (64kWh) for £12.5k. Transmission and motor had been replaced under warranty just beforehand. Hopefully frequent oil changes will stop the reduction gear dying again!

Thanks for what you did for the community! Please just keep the videos up as an archive, that will be such a huge help for future buyers of used Ioniqs. And maybe drop the AI images or at least tone it down a bit, they are giving me nightmares ;-). I will stay subscribed for sure. Next car? No idea!

After coming back from a very long trip with my Ioniq28 and seing what’s currently around, I think I would opt for either a Renault Megane e-tech (all the owners I talked to at charging stations were very pleased) or a KIA EV6, which offers comfort, range, great charging speed and the boot capacity to please most families. Of note, the Ioniq’s heat pump seems incapable of coping with a combination of a long trip with multiple rapid charging sessions and temperatures above 30deg precisely. 🧐

Two different categories size-wise at least, two good choices I think

Thank you for the Ioniq videos. I got mine around the same time as you, and I'll keep mine a while longer. The only suitable replacement I can vaguely see on the horizon is the Kia EV4 next year, although I'm not sure it will have a proper hatch and strong fast charging. I'm going to guess you're switching to an EV6 or maybe Ioniq 5.

Thanks. And one could also hope for a 2026 ioniq 4 ie a compact hatchback version of the ioniq 6. Probably more wishful thinking though...

@@evdabblerthat would be a great car, but I fear the 6 is already too long for my garage 😁

Thanks for all your excellent videos on the Ioniq! I think there is not much more to report on the car, other than frequantly occuring issues and some DIY. Perhaps that isn't stable for this canel. It will be interestingly to follow your report on your coming car. Tesla Y?😊

@@robertpopek6063 Many thanks for your support throughout. I don"t think a summary of issues would inappropriate, sounds like another crowdsourcing form :-) as for TMY it's of course a great candidate but maybe not as a single car navigating suburban London...

I can't guess what you would replace the 'classic' Ioniq with. I keep looking but every alternative falls short for me. I only buy used and they are not as efficient or they cost a fortune and/or I couldn't carry what I need to in them! I might go for a Polestar 2 2wd long range Pilot Plus (to get the 'same' benefits as my SE has as standard) but wouldn't be happy with the at least 20% worse efficiency all the time for 100 miles more range occasionally as like most people, I don't go that far, that often. 🤔

There is no question that if you only occasionally do long distances the Ioniq - especially at its latest used price - is an incredible proposition and hard to beat (unless you want more "style"). A newer car means newer compromises until one day we get the Ioniq 28x2...

Tesla Model 3?
@evdabbler4 ай бұрын
@@stevechelt1 I understand a number of Ioniq owners moved on to be TM3 owners afterwards, a mostly natural successor... if you don't mind the larger size and the 4 doors.

@@evdabbler As I buy outright and being of limited means I'm looking to move on from my Ampera to a used 38.3 Ioniq very soon, then maybe a Tesla in the future! The lack of a hatch on the M3 would be a bit of a downside to me though.
