@@thisisuselesslol4365 Fun fact: In Sara's report card she's refered to as "Samurai Onnna". If you're like me, you'd immediantly notice that that's one "n" too many. It's easy to brush of as a mistake, heck, I did at first. But knowing Nakidai that's not the case. Someone pointed out that if you rearrange the letters of "Samurai Onnna" you'd get "Minna Asunaro". Which translates to "Everyone Asunaro", a spoiler that everyone is a part of that organisation. The fact that it's on SARA'S report card, someone who is intimitely involved in this Death Game and the most sus out of everyone is really something.

No joke, YTTD is one of the best well written underrated game I've ever seen. The twists doesn't come from nowhere but it's rather foreshadowed. The characters are really well written also. Anzu may be a comic relief one but imo she's one of the best well written comic relief I've ever seen. She's also a powerful moral support. Hayasaka has something to offer since you can save him from the roulette and considering about his victim video, his character is shrouded in mystery. Overall I really love this game and I glorify it so much. Nankidai deserves all the love

If Sue Miley really is Gin's mom, it would probably make her his "helper", since his victory rate was the second lowest and the chances for victory were supposed to be evened out according to Midori. Also, while it might be completely unrelated, it's interesting how Miley is the only Floor Master who survived. And as we know, Asunaro has to keep Gin's mother alive.

something interesting of note is, after doing the lantern event with gin, he states that his wish was for his mom to be happy, or for his mother to live for a long time. that being said, whichever of those wishes he made, if Sue Miley truely was his mother, it sounds like they tried to present her as happy, possibly to make her happy as well. though this theory is very shaky, of course, but it's still something interesting.

Since we're on the topic of theories, I'll share one of my own. I think it's safe to assume that Kai was only put into the Death Game as punishment for betraying the organization. So let's ignore him and focus on the other non-participants: Joe, Nao and Kugie. On Chapter 3, we learn that the non-participants were brought into the Death Game to balance the survival rates of some participants. Joe was there to "nerf" Sara, and Kugie and Nao were there to "buff" Kanna and Mishima respectively. That seems accurate. Except for Nao and Mishima. Mishima was the first person to die after the First Trial. And he died because he thought the Test Trial could've been a trap, so he sacrificed himself to protect Nao. So Nao actually contributed to his death, instead of his survival. Now let's skip to the 2nd Main Game. Gashu hacks the system to give Nao the Sacrifice Card to get her killed. The explanation we were given is that, as a non-participant, she had no right to win. But now we know that the non-participants were planned from the start. Plus, purposely giving the Sacrifice to her was a transgression, therefore, not planned by Asunaro. So they didn't mind her being alive. Then, why did Gashu go out of his way to get rid of her? My theory is that Nao was mistakenly brought into the Death Game. Most likely by Gashu himself. Nao doesn't have an AI, so the Asunaro most likely didn't do any simulations with her. Gashu might have brought her in, thinking that the strong bond she had with Mishima would help him do better in the Death Game. But the opposite happened. In other words, the non-participants were supposed to make the game "fair", by giving support to the weaker participants and weakening the strongest one. But if Nao actually hindered Mishima, that means that, for him, the game was *unfair* from the very start. And if the game is not "fair" for everyone, then the Mastermind is forced to call it off. Gashu realized his mistake and got rid of Nao to try to cover it up, then shot himself. All to keep the Death Game going. If Sara finds out about this, and manages to prove it, she might be able to end the Death Game. But it most likely won't be that simple.

Related to the Joe Mr. Police man's son theory: We still don't know Keiji's wish, and Keiji was aware the Mr.Police man was expecting a son when he was fired. It's not too far of a stretch for Keiji's wish to be meeting his idol's son, perhaps to apologize for killing his father. Something that makes this theory even stronger is that we know Keiji is lacking a father, whether that's due to death or just him leaving. With him knowing how it feels to lose a father, it'd make sense for him to feel immense guilt over having taken a boy's father from him, and to want to get a chance to apologize for it. And even tho Midori says Joe is there for Sara, it is known that the point of everything Midori said in that scene was to try and get Sara to show her "true self" (how she was in the trial runs), so its not impossible for him to lie to her to get a reaction out of her.

It's possible that when Safalin "washed" Mew-chan in Chap2, she also placed Mishima's head or collar inside. We know that she's willing to do certain things to help the participants. Maybe she thought it could come in handy later on especially because she knows about how the banquet works.

Keiji sus list: -What was his wish? -He was paired with hinako and we all know about her -"Because you're cute" isn't a valid reason to trust someone with your life - _ - -There’s no option to out right deny ranmaru's accusations when you play as him -What was he doing in the time after he left the force up to the death game? -midori was 100% positive his coffin would be red despite not seeing him escape and with his level of... *insanity* it shouldn't have thrown him off that much -his rivalry with midori in general (midori was supposed to be a participant before the alice incident so maybe keiji took his place?) -his knowledge of the hades incident as early as chapter 2 even though gin could only remember it after being exposed to the lantern -if ranmaru really "locked him in the charging room" (which he only says after ranmaru is dead) how did he eventually get out and why didn’t he just get out with kurumada? (Kurumada left the charging room and met up with the others after sara wakes up and I doubt he just locked the door behind him *and* he didn’t say anything about keiji being in there when he woke up) -if kurumada and ranmaru had the transceivers, how was he listening to the banquet through one? Also fun fact: in the game files, the meister and Sara’s step father sprites, have the same character assigned number. All of the characters had their own numbers and went to the next number ahead for whatever character nankidai put next.

@@darwinwatterson4568 There are also scrapped sprites, like the gap between someone who I forgot and Alice skips 12 or 11 I think, seeing as Alice was originally a female and also a villain so, makes sense to scrap those sprites for our humble Stripey. There is also a missing Mishima sprite which Nankidai showed off in a livestream which showed his eyes... it was cut because and I quote "It was too good-looking". This means, that canonically speaking, Mishima is too sexy.

Fun fact: The city background that appears in the mishima cg from when he escapes in your time to shine actually appears in the background on the main games. If you look closely, you can see the exact same buildings in the background.

All these theories changed my POV on everything! I thought that Sara maybe related to Keiji’s wish but when I saw the Joe theory, it all clicked. In Kai’s emails, it was mentioned that 17 people have been secured. However, there are 16 candidates. It’s possible that Kai was suppose to be that person, but now that Keiji’s wish has been mentioned. I believe it could be Joe. It’s possible that Keiji’s wish was similar to one of Alice’s desire in chapter 2. If apologize and pay back the family of the man he killed. This could relate back to Joe. Also if all the no candidates have a connection to their candidate counter parts and are meant to push them to survive, I could totally see Joe being Keiji’s. Let’s look at Kanna’s route real quick, there is no doubt that Kugie’s death actually pushed her to become stronger. Even though Mishima died, Nao actually did give him the resolve to sacrifice himself TWICE to protect her and help her grow. Kai’s “final” words to Sara, if Joe wasn’t the first one to get the Sacrifice, definitely would’ve empowered her. Especially if she got ahold of Kai’s laptop. Finally, Joe’s death actually gave meaning to Keiji’s life. To me, it’s possible that Keiji may have little to no will to live. However, Joe’s death gave Sara hallucinations and Keiji saw that because he’s dealing with the same issue. Keiji then becomes Sara’s closes ally and mentor. Now this begs the question… *Why does Sara even need anyone to push her in the first place…?* Well, if the theory on Sou being the original candidate before being replaced by Shin is true. Not to mention but if Shin had to adopt Sou’s personality. I believe that it’s possible that on those papers, they had purposefully swapped Shin’s and Sara’s survival rates. That’s right! It a cruel twist of fate, Sara was the one who was always meant to die no matter what. Just like the high schooler from the Hades Incident. I believe that this connect to the endings as well. In the Kanna route, Sara will sacrifice herself to save the rest of the cast, succumbing to her fate. In the Sou/Shin route, however, she may sacrifice everyone else to survive. The worst part is, if the Island Side Story is anything to go off on… Sou’s route maybe canon. That’s all I wanted to say. Edit: Also, I just wanted to point out a few parallels because YTTD really likes those. Obvious ones being the Russian Roulette mini games and Kanna and Shin’s relationship and personalities mirroring that of the Yabusame’s. I wanted to point out the toxic love of Midori and Maple and how that could end up paralleling the relationship of Sara and her “father.”

My theory is this is training for Sara. They - most likely her father and/or other group leaders in notorious crime rings - ran simulations and saw how incredible she could become and thought ‘she would thrive in the crime world and we will thrive under her leadership’. But they didn’t plan on having Joe there. It’s heavily suggested that if Joe hadn’t been there and died earlier on, Sara would’ve become true Sara. The pain of losing Joe and the weight of that loss - and ultimately being able to recover from it - is what will stop her from becoming her ‘ultimate’ self. It would be a bit more of a stretch, but perhaps everyone in the game is in some way related to notorious crime group leaders and therefore that’s why they were selected. Although I’m not 100% on that yet.

Something I wanted to add about the journal found in the secret room: I'm 100% sure the man who wrote it is who's role Sou is suposed to play. I'll list off the similarities between the two so bear with me: •Just like the man in the memorandum, Sou killed someone in his first trial. Namely, himself. He 'killed' Shin Tsukimi in an attempt to survive the game, abandoning his original personality and name and replacing it with that of Midori to try and defy his 0.0% fate. We can confirm that that's the case thanks to the Gallary in Chapter 3. That place is filled with pictures of the people that died during the death game, their deaths being illustrated. And wouldn't you know it, there's also a picture of Sou from before the death game hung there too, which means that he was a victim that died as well. •Out of all the people that ivestigated the blue room, Sou was the only one who didn't take part in the Russian Roulette. Just like you said, I think the room was designed to detect if the right amount of people are in it. Keiji, Kai, Q-taro, Sou, Joe and Sara... six in total. The game needed five. So when Sou left, the numbers added up and made the room lock him out. Coincidence or not, the parallel is still there. •Sou's distrust for others after the events of his trial also matches up with that man. Due to seeing the roster before everyone else and being the only one who remembers the AI test runs, Sou is pretty distant and distrustful towards the group, especially Keiji, Q-taro and Sara. He saw through Keiji's 'friendly policeman' act by knowing about him being an ex-detective beforehand. He saw Q-taro place the cards for the Main game and hand him the sacrifice. And Sara was the closest thing to Midori to him. A manipulative, cunning, cruel murderous monster who'd kill anyone as long as it means they'll survive. Someone who preys on the weak, taking advantage of their trust to have their way. Someone who judges others worth based on usefulness (he was kinda right ngl). They were all higher placers. And you wouldn't get that high a winrate by being kind. You'd havd to do something underhanded for that, which is why he was after them the most. •His relationship with Sara is something that resembles that of the owner of the memorandum and the 17yo highschool girl. Since he resembles to Sou, he could've held some resentment toward her although that was never really confirmed. It's only after the second victim conference the man takes pity on her and spoke his true feelings for the first time, similar to how Sou started warming up to Sara during Chapter 2-2 and will either be thankful towards for sparing Kanns her and realizing he was wrong about her being a horrible person or be vengeful for killing Kanna andcconfirming all his fears about her. He makes his feelings toward her clear, wether or not he's voted for. •This is just a minor detail but that man's appearance is really identical to Sou. If you look closely you'd notice the outline of a scarf and jacket on the guy. And if that's not weird enough, his posture isn't the greatest either which is apparent from the way he sits. Leaning forward and hunched over. And we know only one dude with god-awful posture and who wears winter clothing inside, don't we? Anywho, I wanted to point out how the events in the memorandum could the back to the logic Route and everything else but this comment is gonna be waaay to long and I'm waaaaaaay to lazy to do so right now. Edit: Btw, something that just came to me as I'm typing this is that one line from the man in the memorandum sounds quite like Keiji. It's that "As many women I try to love, I'm never satisfied". Keiji's a lady-killer, right (yes, both metaphorically and literally)? In YTTS we learn that when he's drunk or at a Bar, he gets a 'little too friendly with other women'. Other evidence of that is how he flirts with Sara and sometimes even Reko. I always wondered why he does that. That didn't seem like a thing his past self would do at all, so what changed that? Maybe something similar like what happened to that man happened to him? I still believe that that guy is suposed to be Sou, and the man with the same views as the girl is suposed to be Keiji, but it's still kinda interesting. If my first theory ends up being debunked in some way, my second theory is the one I'll go with since Keiji also has some parallels with that man as well. Ugh, this game's writing is so good..

@Misaki MTG You have a very good theory, dude. My thought was that the memorandum was predicting what could happen in the logic Route. In the book, the victims mentioned include the highschool, a child, and the man who's views were the most similar to her, leaving the author as the only survivor. What do these people have in common? They all resemble Sou, Sara, Keiji and Gin, the only remaining survivors in the logic Route and the people who voted for Kanna. So it could mean that there's a chance that Route will end with Keiji, Sara and Gin dying, leaving Sou being the only survivor. Fitting and ironic for the man fated to die (literally besting the three characters with plot armor). Don't get me wrong, I'm sure (kinda) that this game will have multiple endings overall and a bittersweet one too (cuz bruh, who cares about winning at this point just get these kids therapy). I feel like this one will be one of them, should that be the case. That would explain some things in the Kanna Route. It's the only Route out of the two that has an ending cutscene. And in said cutscene we see Sara alone in the Winner's room confronting her dad, who's happy that 'she survived'. According to Sou, that room was meant for the survivors of the game only. Sara being there by herself could mean that she's the sole survivor this time. Just like the kidnappers wanted her to be. I think we can all agree that this game was designed to reinact the Hades incident, only this time for the highschool girl to actually win. Going off of that, the logic Route would be repeating history, while the Kanna Route would be defying it, ending with either Sou or Sara winning it all (like I said, multiple endings will probably exist and these will probably be some of them). So, uh, yeah. That my take on it. Not perfect but I'm pretty proud of it. This is not all, of course, since Yttd has so much theory material to work with, but this is one of 'em. @Misaki MTG Dude, SAME. I'm of the firm belief that the routes will pull 180's due to being so unbalanced. The Emotion Route might be happier, but at the end of the day we threw away our chances of escaping this place alive. Sou was the only one with the skills of getting them outta that place and I feel the decision of killing him will hunt them later on. Sou may hate us for killing Kanna, but even he still has moments where he cares about others. He was willing to let Midori win so that Gin could live despite wanting to beat the most. He stood up for Sara and helped her when she was about to give up. He believed in Keiji humself rather than in the fact that he died. He was able to care about Kurumada and feel bad for Maple. He even got upset about the Yabusames' death. I think he'll definitely come back to our side to respect Kanna final wish of them all working together. Like I said, multiple endings. One that ends with him taking us all out with him, one where we escape, and one where survives alone. Sorry, I got all excited for a moment. I usually get that 'oh, Sou Route bad Kanna Route good oga boga' so it's refreshing to see someone thinking otherwise. LIKE YES!! SOMEONE WHO GETS IT!!

I personally don’t understand why there would even be a mastermind. We know the organization ASU-NARO is behind it all, and there’ll likely be a traitor reveal, but I don’t see how there could be one single person responsible. That aside, I’m convinced the reveal will be Sara’s dad. There have been everything from jokes to implications that he’s involved in organized crime, and he shares the same sprite silhouettes as Meister, who’s got his own mountain of evidence piling up against him. Chances are, they’re the same person, the survivor of the Hades Incident, and have raised Sara to be a stand-in of the girl from the incident. (Also, if anyone wants me to explain and of this evidence I’ve mentioned, I’ve spent way too much time theorizing myself and would be happy to explain a bit further)

Does anybody remember when Shin had that one nightmare where he was running away from that black board room and then he was killed by Sara? Right before that happening, Shin sees Kai’s frying pan on the floor saying “dead men tell no tales” or something of the sort. If that’s a nightmare of a previous simulation then doesn’t that mean Kai was in the past simulations too? If so, why? The likelihood of him being wished to be in the death game is a bit low since we know most of the characters wishes, unless we want to assume there’s a traitor. (It could also just be that his memories were merged with the past simulation in the nightmare)

Maybe Kai was always supposed to be in the death game, not as a candidate, maybe a body guard? Also, isn’t it strange how when sara and joe were kidnapped and met with the others joe said, “I heard sara scream so I went upstairs and there stood that stalker!” Or something like that. But, Kai was BEHIND them because they were running away. Wouldn’t that imply he either knew what the stalker looked like or is lying? And then there’s that suspicious conversation with him and Kai that was recorded on the cameras.

But... Shin's nightmare isn't completely about a previous Death Game- only the very last scene was. On the contrary, he sees again (traumatic) events from the last few days. Shin's nightmare revolves around two obsessive thoughts: fear of death (the majority vote, his first trial, blood, his own body laying down, Keiji's(?) arm coming out, the Main Game ground, Sara) and Kai (Kai's death at the very beginning, Kai's laptop, the frying pan, Kai's eyes appearing all of a sudden, and "dead men tell no tales, right, Kai?"). I assume that Kai had such a huge importance in his dream because when that dream happened Sou had just read the emails again, so he found out that he was mistaken and Kai, Joe and Sara were likely innocent. Sou was very obsessed with recovering the laptop (as he said in his dream, "an important laptop") because he thought it proved that Sara was on the kidnappers' side. He's even responsible for that bad ending with Q-taro, and all because of the laptop. Imagine his frustration when he discovered that the laptop didn't prove anything he hoped for, but was an evidence of Kai being a good guy instead. Maybe that's the reason why he passed out (either that, or because the Main Game was approaching. Or maybe both). In fact, another recurrent thing in his dream could be his not very successful effort to suppress his own guilt (his shadow instigating him: "You didn't know they'd die? Ahaha"; "no big, it's not like it's your fault... Aren't I right?". Also, Kai's obsessive presence could be another hint, since Sou hadn't been very kind to Kai in his last moments. And finally him keeping blaming Sara because "Sara is the villain, not me. I'm just doing "like everyone else""). So, I don't think Kai was in the simulations. But I still don't know if that picture at the very end of Shin's nightmare is to be interpreted as Shin having few memories from the simulations, like Sara has (if so, why?), or if it's just used as a generic picture to represent his fear of Sara. I honestly don't know. What do you think? Edit: about Joe, I think he just saw there was someone in Sara's room and he assumed it was the stalker. The room was dark, so he couldn't know. Also, Joe had never seen Kai before.

i really dont want gin to be the mastermind, especially since the latest part. the only thing honestly suspicious about gin is that his collar isnt shown, and it would be a surprising twist, but at the end of the day, his character really has set almost nothing up to make him a good twist villain. all his actions seem very genuine, and knowing gin is autistic i really do not want to see a sliver of representation being murked by making him into someone who does Bad Things (or causes them to happen i suppose). as for joe, i could see it but it would be a bit cliche to me... ive seen other people say this and i find myself agreeing: i do not want any of the main cast to be evil. its so cliche at this point and would destroy their characters

I think that having someone in the main cast work with the mastermind would be a good reveal especially if they're still "alive" to the viewer. The only people who could potentially fulfill this role though are Gin, Keiji, or Sara since they're the only ones alive in both routes. I do think that making one of them the complete mastermind and ruler of this game would kind of ruin everything the previous chapters have been building up so I do hope whoever it ends up being either has a good motive and/or is being blackmailed. I dont really see anyone like Joe being it since it would have less of an emotional impact on the players, and knowing Nankidai's writing, he does anything for those extra feelings.

Involving the theory that Mishima's head is in Mew-Chan, I have several issues: 1) Wouldn't Mew-Chan began to smell? A body begins to smell after 24-72 hours. Even if you want to say Safalin removed the head while cleaning Mew-Chan, several days had passed prior. So, the head would have begun to smell. 2) If Gin is the mastermind, why wouldn't he tell the Floor Masters about the head? 3) If Gin isn't the mastermind, why would he take Mishima's head? What would that possibly achieve?

Theories theories... I think shin was getting help from midori. There's no way he just "found" the charger and stun gun laying around so I think midori (or maybe miley based on the theory on her loyalties) put them somewhere convenient for him or just gave them to him. He still has 0.0% so even if he changed himself, a few extra items to help him should count as fair. Midori said he at least wanted to kill shin himself if he had to die so he would likely want to help him get through the lower floors. Also I think midori's the one that gave shin his key and I think the key will serve some important purpose in 3-2 so he's been helping him since before the game even started by being an example and giving him key items (no pun intended)

guys, do you think that gin's memory with midori in "counselling" could have anything to do with the theory that ASUNARO may be performing tests on children? :0 also, the original hades incident was supposed to determine the leader of the crime world, and a bunch of people in the death game have either confirmed or hinted at criminal backgrounds (alice is a convicted murderer, although he didn't actually kill anyone, sara could be a mafia princess, shin might have done some shady hacking, etc. etc.) i'm not fully convinced it's connected, but it's interesting nonetheless!

So there's no doubt that Shin was the one who cut the papers. And since it was during his first trial it would mean that no one got to see them as they were torn. about the whole Mishima's head thing, now I have no real evidence for this but I think that it's the collar that Shin has. I believe he didnt start with a collar, and later when mishima died, he put on his collar as a way to blend in. It would also explain why he was able to take it off, since I believe that simply putting on a collar wont lock it, just like it didn't with Midori. that's basically it though, and I highly doubt that it's true since then there had to be an explanation for Shin not to start with his own collar

i read a theory on twitter that the policeman is sara’s biological father, and though i believe him being joe’s father holds more weight, i feel like it would actually do wonders for keiji’s character if that were the case. the author of the theory implies that keiji’s asunaro wish would have been to reunite with the policeman’s kid meaning he’s the one who drags sara into it. this also gives more weight to ranmaru’s accusation in ch3-b when he claims that keiji is the brought sara here and his dialogue options don’t actually deny it. i feel like there isn’t a lot of evidence for this theory though, it’s purely my own hopeful speculation 😅

After knowing the theory of "Kai may be still alive", I wonder if Meister is actually Kai. 1. He needs the bandages to cover his wound on the hand 2. I don’t know the Reddit user, but I remember that I read a theory that Sara was actually the policeman’s child. While I think it’s more likely that it’s Joe, the evidence that supports this theory is still valid. I still think the Joe theory is far more likely. Plus, I think I can add a bit on this theory though. 1: Sara being in the death game at all. Since she never filled out the consent form, she shouldn’t have been in the death game, however, Sou/Midori says that she’s in the game, because of someone wishing for her to be. This person would be Keiji. I think when Ranmaru insinuates that Keiji brought Sara into the death game, it was foreshadowing. Keiji didn’t do it on purpose however. He likely wished to see the child of the policeman. While this still confirms Joe, it leans more into Sara, due to again, Sara never consenting to the death game. 2 ; Somewhat similar feature. While I think that Joe definitely has more similar features, I think Sara has one feature that Joe lacks, being the hair. Sara’s hair isn’t as harsh of an orange as the policeman, but it’s definitely a bit closer than Joe, in my opinion. I know it’s a stretch, since Joe’s hair color can be inherited for the policeman, but that’s what I think. If I’m wrong, than this entire theory dies, but I don’t think the policeman ever confirms if it’s a son he’s gonna have. 3rd: Keiji’s connection to Sara. Pretty simple, Keiji and Sara become quite close quickly. This is due to possibly Keiji’s detective instincts, but also due to Shin and Kanna being a precedent. Connections outside the death game shine within it, not only from obvious ones like Joe/Sara, and Nao/Mishima, but also from Shin/Kanna. They had a bond outside the game, and it still shines through without either knowing the truth. I feel like Nankidai would love to this with Sara and Keiji. 4th: Bait and Switch. This is more just my thoughts on Nankidai, but he seems to like placing little hints for us. I think he purposefully put Joe in a police outfit, to gain people and solidify peoples reasoning to suspect that policeman’s kid is Joe. I think however that this might be a lead into the wrong direction, unlike with Hinako in the whole casts artwork. Thats just me.

my theories: - Joe and Kai have been working together since before the events of the game. the day of the kidnapping Joe met Sara from school because Kai asked him when he realized his emails were compromised. it might be possible Joe started being Sara's friend to guard her more openly than Kai. Joe might or might have not gotten Mishima's head and laptop from Kai. - Sara has dissociative identity disorder and the Death Game might be set for her to be healed. The other candidates might or might not be her other personalities. Alternatively, all candidates have the same disorder as evident by Keiji's and Kanna's hallucinations. Add the fact most Floor Masters are actually researchers on human psyche, and it's possible the Death game was made to study human brain and heal some conditions. Remember that the Memorandum man also has gallucinations, which leads me to suspect... - Every candidate might be Memorandum man's child. Some like Keiji and Gin and Sara have confirmed biological mothers, but not fathers, so it's possible their mothers are women the Memorandum man tried to love. The evidence is that they all are in more or less same age group with the oldest person in age of 30 and the youngest is 12; there are no old people in this seemingly random bunch. This would explain why Shin is a candidate with 0% chance. Also we already have two pairs of confirmed siblings. - Megumi was working for Asu Naro like Hayasaka did, Joe's dad knew about the Death Game and was fired and killed for this. Joe knows the police can't be trusted, that's why he took the telephone before Sara in her house and why he doubted Keiji; - Mishima is Meister. They share the same body type, Mishima appears as evil AIs much too often, there's a mystery about Mishima's missing head and my biggest evidence is that there's a running joke with Mishima wanting to smoke a cigar and cutting it with trained hand. Meister smokes all the time. Also the Memorandum man has Mishima's hair color and the same clothes as Meister. - Safalin could've been the one who sent Gin to the first floor. She comes to Room of lies after the 2nd trade, where Gin comes later (he was delayed by Miley until the third trade) and where Ranger's chip is. She openly gives the chip to participants in the dolls warehouse, a place we know isn't monitored since it's where Qtaro started his gambit in 3-1. She gives the participants hints like when she cut her hand. - Midori was a doll when Alice killed him, so it's possible he was made long time ago. He also looks like Memorandum man. - The art room is a place of memories for Mishima or Nao. - Qtaro's eyes are robot eyes. They were replaced by Asu Naro in exchange for the consent form. Comment #2 I also recognize a weird vibe coming from Jou when it was with Keiji. But based by the theory---of Jou completely linked towards Keiji... ... I also theorize that, Jou's reaction to Keiji saying he was an Ex-policeman kinda disturbing. I just guess that maybe... he, presumingly, was shocked by why he was an Ex-policeman and why that he'd quit. And if the theory was true, that Jou's father was Mr. Policeman. Then maybe Jou was a little skeptical by his occupation and the incident that was maybe related to his father if he heard about it.

I am surprised no one picked this up, but didn’t the moment Joe mentions someone could be in with the mastermind he looked at Keiji. Keiji also seems to know a lot about the Hades incident, just gravitates to Sara for no reason, avoids death like it’s another Tuesday, and the memorandum when applied to Keiji does bring up a few connections. Simply being -personally Keiji is a lady killer -he is a drunk -we do not know what Keiji’s wish is, and Keiji doesn’t even know, but he oddly denies it relating to Sara I want you to imagine a character that just got out of the death game and loss the love of his life afterwards. What would that man wish for?

just some food for thought: something I just realised shin doesn't recognises Alice if he did he wouldn't have chosen to become sou he should know that Alice killed sou yet he still takes sou's identity I realized we don't know what gin's first trial was there was a theory that he was paired up with hanako but now I don't think it is really possible correct me if I am wrong but the game implies that hanako was paired up with alice so what was his first trial? As for the whole "yes miss sara you were so op and Savage we had to put your bestie in so you don't kill everyone"(god what have I done?)it seems like nao was also there for sara she give someone for sara to relate to someone who had similar struggles as her (both of them grief both of them have to overcome this grief) another thing wouldn't nao lower daddy mishima's winrate? We see that mishima is willing to put himself in danger to protect nao why would they try to lower his winrate? Are they just that desperate to lower Sara's winrate?

i loved these theories! I want to know more about Gin and the connection to Miley makes a lot of sense. In fact, nearly all of these theories seemed to tie up and connect a lot of characters in a way that seems indicative of the style of writing we've seen so far. These theories feel really plausible to me!! (now watch them all be wrong haha)

One more point to the whole Kai being alive theory, is with the Sou route, it leaves only 4 people alive at the end of the chapter, but if the sacrifice has two votes, it'll tie and they'll win no matter what, so thus it's pretty clear there should be a 5th participant.

Or Sou has a guaranteed way to kill Sara if he gets the Sacrifice card. He did say he wanted to kill all the ones who voted for Kanna, with Gin being the exception seemingly. And it could be argued that he wants to kill Keiji as well. If Kai isn't alive, and only four people are in the death game, it's an automatic victory for the Sacrifice unless they aren't apart of the final vote.

Also bc at the very start of the game we saw Joe come from a "date" but what if he was actually knocking out Sarah´s parents. Then Joe could easily have snuck behind her and take her out

HOLD UPPP!! 12:25 !!!! mew chan is a PILLOW, it isnt tied to gin or anything, and yet when he gets pulled up to the ceiling you can literally see his hands dangling and not holding onto the pillow and yet the pillow isnt on the ground!!! that means mew chans kinda GOTTA have a collar inside it, since theres no way nankidai wouldnt do such a sprite detail by accident as just talked about earlier in video!! I think because of the manner in which gin holds mew chan, like always covering/close to his neck, it makes sense for the cushion to hold him up in the position shown!! also it seems a key detail that gin is facing away from us in order to make it less obvious. doesnt have to mean he isnt wearing a collar, he could have both his and mishimas inside it, OR he could only be not wearing a collar because miley removed it for him in secret, maybe when he went down to the first floor because she wouldnt be phsyically around him anymore and still wanted to make sure hes safe! (or maybe she took it off and put his own collar inside his mew chan plush and doesnt need anything to do with mishimas head?)

With the Gin theory in almost all of his sprites he hold Mew-chan up to around his neck and in hanging sprite he’s at an angle where you can’t see Mew-chan or his neck so if Mishima’s head was in Mew-chan with the collar still on it could of drag him up and he would of just not let go to prove himself more innocent or so there would be no way he was the mastermind

I think there is a high likelihood of one of the main cast being the big bad it's not the father, these mystery stories tend to select from the pool of characters they've already introduced - it feels a bit xheap if someone else comes out of the woodwork in the final inning

More evidence of Joe being connected to asunaro the cast and the death game exists. A kid looking like Joe in Kansas flashback Him having a doll and working AI despite not being a candidate (my theory is that he originally was one, but later down the line got removed from candidate status. Maybe die to coincidence of him befriending Sara or him working with or for asunaro) Joe also being possibly alive since he "died" from blood loss, though this is more speculation Joe being the only character having prior knowledge about others such as when he mentions that he knows rekos band. Etc.

These are rlly good, i remember seeing a theory that joe was the one that won the 1st game and made dolls of himself, the little boy that was messing with bucket head girl(i kinda forgot her name🤐) was a joe doll, the policeman was a joe doll and gin was a joe doll with a different name i read the theory a while ago so i dont remember much but i remember they said that joe could've put fake blood in the dolls too🤷🏾‍♀️

There’s a theory that Joe has connections to everyone in the game, being the possible son of the police officer connecting to keiji, being best friends with Sara, some speculated Mishima may have been their teacher, Joe was aware of Sara’s stalker who was revealed to be Kai, and there was also a cg with young Kanna on a swing with a boy appearing a few years older than her with brown messy hair which people believed to also be joe. The only one of these that probably wouldn’t be possible is Mishima being their teacher, since he would’ve recognized joe and sara. It could be however that he may have taught like middle school or elementary once. Since Asunaro had been watching the candidates for a long time it would make sense for the teacher to have been watched as a teacher to young joe and/or sara. It’s not known how he could’ve connected to others. Maybe Reko and Alice he was a big fan of their band. Gin probably similar to Kanna, idk how the rest would go

My theory is that Keiji is the mastermind. If we look back to how he acts throughout the game he honestly is super sketchy. For example he immediately trusts Sara for no other reason besides “she’s cute” and when Joe suggested that there might be a traitor what does Keiji do? He laughs at him. He also seems to know a lot about the Hades incident which you could chalk up to him being a cop but idk it’s kind of suspicious.

@Midori SPOILERS FOR 3-1B There’s only shin, sara, keiji and gin left from the main cast. If the mastermind is one of them it’ll ruin the entire storyline for me. It makes no sense. Keiji and shin have fully established backstories and shin was close to sou anyways. Gin could be (I don’t think this) from asunaro but it’s hard to imagine him being the mastermind and Sara is Sara. She’s the one all this revolves around but judging by the memoriam in the secret room I don’t think she would be the mastermind.

The Hades Incident makes a lot of sense, and connected to that, the mastermind is Meister, aka Sara's dad aka the person from the Memorandum, who would do anything to get the "teenage girl" (aka Sara) to win the game. It would be too obvious if he really was the mastermind, but that's the theory that makes the most sense. I can also see Sue Miley being Gin's mother (I really don't think Gin's the mastermind), but I'm especially fond of the idea of Joe being Mr. Policeman's son. It just works. I 100% think Kai was intended to be paired up with Sara, while Joe was meant to be Keiji's weakness, being the son of the man he murdered; this was all covered up by Sara and Joe's friendship, making us think he was her weakness instead. Also, Kai is definitely not dead. I mean, why would they not show for him the phrase "Kai expired" like they did for every other participant?

I'm agreeing with the Hades Recreation theory but... I'm wondering if the true mastermind is Joe. Hear me out - there's a big point of ambiguity in Chapter 1 about if Kai was Sara's stalker. What if those memories were taken from 'real' Sara, prior to the Hades death game? Joe ultimately won, but as theorised, he still loved Sara and thought she should've won, leading to the doll, simulations and recreation. Accusing Joe seems like a joke, but from what we've seen... It's possible. The only hole is IIRC we've seen him bleed, but... I think that *could* be faked if the doll was 'created to die' as it were. I'm gonna entertain this theory for now!

heyo, this is all super interesting! :] i have a lot of thoughts so for the sake of my comment not being a massive text wall i'll break it up lol. i was the OP of the first Mr. Policeman/Joe theory post (buerzelse) and i wanted to add a couple more things ^^ besides the name pun you mentioned, there is a hallucination sprite of Mr. Policeman, which in the game files is titled "gennei-taduna". Gennei meaning hallucination, and Taduna being another way to romanize Tazuna! there's also a scene in the manga with Keiji saying "Nobody would introduce themselves... Because we didn't know each other's identities" to which Joe responds "That's...! You're the same..." before being interrupted by Mishima. this could imply Joe recognized Keiji. so to me, it's more or less confirmed haha

Sara having to face off against her doll self is something i hadn't considered but! there is a theory the final Main Game will involve a physical fight, so it could tie in with that; also the fact that what we have seen of the 6th floor looks like an arena of some kind?? (the room that the stairs from the library on 5F leads to) though, i also wonder if Sara won't get the Sage or Sacrifice next Main Game, since a.) she's yet to have those during a Main Game b.) there's a deleted scene where she has the Sage c.) it would parallel the Girl from the Memorandum if she died.

as for Mishima's head, i thought Safalin had it; i also made a Reddit post about it which i'll just copy-and-paste "when exploring Safalin's medical office with Gin, you can use his scent ability. This reveals a trail leading into a secret passage, which leads to a storage room for the dolls. But what's odd is how Gin describes the smell: 'It's like blood...mixed with something burnt, woof.' This may be a clue as to where Mishima's missing head went". it's also noted during a recap that "it's suspected he (Kai) hid the Mishima head Nao was protecting somewhere". Kai knows of the passageway from the kitchen to the Room of Rubble, so it's not impossible he could have taken it there. but i'm not sure if he would collaborate with Safalin. unless, Safalin's aim might have been to retrieve the collar before any of the other Floor Masters could, with the intent to give it to the participants for the Banquet, but if that was the case she could have just given it to them in the AI-Ceiver room? idk

a theory re: Meister and Mr. Chidouin is that they may be eachothers' Doppelgängers. Kurumada mentions that "if a Floormaster meets their Doppelgänger, they die". Mr. Chidouin (or Meister) will likely be the next Floormaster, and if so this may come into play then, with one of them being a doll. i had more but in the time i started writing to now i forgot

@@tatzelse i thought the trail was describing Mishima's Body dragged on the floor but that's also a nice theory. To add on to the policeman is Joe's father theory the ages also match up, though it's just speculation how old Keiji was when Mr. Policeman was expecting a child but he seems to be around the right age to have that current age gap between Keiji and Joe.
