Why didn't you check to see if those high paying offers for low miles if you could pay for it? Maybe the total would have been like $7 or something very low. If it's low, pay for it with your own money. Then deliver it. You still would make profit. Depends on how much they order. Sometimes you can use the app for like fast food cuz they give discounts in the app. I know McDonald's does and Wendy's and Burger King. Also....another option is to ask if they could remake it.

Believe it or not, I have accepted these high offers thinking its a fake order but ended up being REAL! One was just the WED b4 Thanksgiving w/ the offer being $41.00 for 5 miles (one p/u, one drop off) in a new Chicken take out. Was winding down my dinner shift (around 8:45pm), got the offer, was close to the restaurant, accepted, went in the joint & to my surprise, it was a Real order!

This was happening to me until a few days agob- they finally stopped digging my cancelation rate. And they started compensating me a few bucks again when I get to a store but can't pick up the order. Yesterday the agent told me I had to physically be at the pickup flag in order to process the additional payment. The flag was on the back side of a grocery store, so I drove around back and then the agent gave me a few bucks.

Hey there. Those ghost offers do exist. I grab them if pickup location is within a mile or so. Usually it's one-two item orders. If it was picked up by someone else some restaurants still will remake them if you ask politely. If not then call support. Agent will tell you that UE is no longer compensate for time and mileage traveled to the restaurant. Tell the agent that you request to escalate this matter to a supervisor and you'll get $10 or $15 so called "adjustment". Works every time for me so far.

I'll always take those high paying ghost orders because occasionally I complete them. Either by having the restaurant remake a stolen order or having the customer change their order if the restaurant is out of an item

I always ask the restaurant if they will remake a stolen order and they always say 'no.' As for changing a missing item, would that basically reset a stolen order and force them to remake it? Otherwise, I've never had trouble with something being missing - calling the customer and communiating is easy and doesn't usually require them to change their order in the system - the restaurant usually just changes it on the fly to keep things moving. I can only see asking them to change their order in the system if it forces a remake...

Few things. The bag photo thing does not matter, they will send you those orders still either way. 99% of stores will not require it. Ghost orders are 99% stolen and easy to figure out (These are also 100% part of why Uber no longer compensates drivers. It happens too often). The base interaction I give with a customer is always a greeting, followed by asking how they are doing, and finishing it by telling them "have a good day/night".

I accept the small offers because I live in So cal, prop 22 comes in clutch! In 12 active hours I made $355. Including 115 from prop 22. Most of my orders are between $4-6. P.s I don't have the bag thing and I do get orders from restaurants that say you must have a bag to pick up the order. When I go pick it up they never ask for the bag.

Also effective to think about paying for the order if you have a high payout and low item count. Got a $68 for 2.5 mile double once at a Taco Bell that said they aren't fulfilling any delivery orders. Both orders ended up beign $35 total (thought it would be $26) but still that was more than enough to justify what I did and much more than what the order would typically pay.

I’m a hustla. I usually just do 3 at the same time (grub hub, door dash & uber eats). Especially late night when only McDonald’s or Wendy’s are open. You just gotta make sure the food from all 3 are heading in same direction. Example: If Uber eats gives me a $8order at Wendy’s for 15min trip, I’ll mark it’s not ready, sit there for a couple minutes until DD OR GH gives me orders from same Wendy’s because it’s the only one open. So I just make sure they’re going in sane direction. It’s worked 8 outta 10 times. I’ll have like 3uber eats orders, 1 DD & 1 GH. All going in sane direction. So I’ll go from $8 for one trip to like 5-6 orders at once for $40-$50plus going in same direction. All I do is make sure I communicate with each customer. As long as they know you’re coming and not too late their cool 😎

Uber's system is set up to keep sending orders to drivers after they're reported as already picked up. I've confirmed this with multiple support staff including supervisors.

I've delivered a $40+ order roughly for that distance. But yes, I was prepared to go there and have it be bogus. However, the restaurant was really close after another delivery, so it wasn't a big deal if it ended up to be fake. This was on a Saturday night during a really busy period. And most of the money was fees, not tip. As for the low pay orders, it depends. If it's at the end of the night, and I'm just trying to hit $100 for the day, then I might take it, if it's low distance or on the way home. Also, I've had some that were so close to the restaurant, that I didn't even get in my car. I walked it to the delivery location. The only other time I'll take a really low payout is if it's just absolutely dead, and I'm desperate to take almost anything at that point, so long as it's low distance. Sometimes you luck out with those, though. I'll take a really low payout, and then another offer pops up that's way better. So now it's $15, instead of $3. One time, the delivery locations were literally across the street from each other.

I just accepted a shop deliver I took it because it looked like it was gonna be a small order really quick I was wrong. she kept adding items and they were very high heavy items. The trip ended up to be about an hour. The wage did not increase and when contacting Uber about some consideration, it seem like they didn’t care.

I'm also in Pittsburgh and I think you should try the promotion of earning flat rate usually it says $19.50/hr during 11-2pm and again from 2-5pm. You can make a lot of money this way because you also get tips.

Submitting a pic of your pizza bag does nothing. It will ask for another pic every time you pick one up and reset the verification every time. Without it you still get pizza orders just fine without the extra annoyance.

what's crazy about those ghost orders is that it's high pay from uber, not the customer. you'd think it was the custy upping the tip because nobody delivered, but it's actually uber raising the pay. so does that mean the longer it takes for a driver to commit makes the rate go higher?? every time i've had one of those the restaurant said somebody already picked it up. very strange. might be the customer picking it up but I've customers that sounded really mad

What is the point of putting $2 or $3 orders out there because algorithm decided it was slow then when restaurant is closed, put it out there for $30 to go to another town when restaurant will be closed in 2 minutes????? So those $2 or $3 than no one looks at but just hit decline; eventually some end up overpriced because the idiotic algorithm realizes “hey, no one picked order up and restaurant is closing”. I mean, duh.

@tommyaudio: I will try to be clearer. The restaurant may say the order was already picked up but the customer does not have their food! And either the AI or the algorithm knows it. Uber eats told me recently there are “software glitches” where we see the order but the restaurant never got it but say whatever they say. I also always call or text the customer to tell them either restaurant closed or restaurant does not have a current order for them. Customer never has the food. Then I have them contact support to find out how to get their food because these orders should have been routed to customer service support I the first place and not be wasting a driver’s time and gas. Does that make better sense?And besides, we as drivers don’t have access to same info that support does so support needs to figure out where the order order is; not just have an algorithm fake order for $77 ( saw that recently). The algorithm puts out the fake order because it knows order has not been delivered. The thinking process sure is stupid; unhappy customer and unhappy driver.

I got a current opportunity to get $30, I get $20 after 10 shop orders and another $10 after another 5 shop orders. I am doing the shopping orders anyways its a nice add on for orders I would do anyways. I get ride bonuses on lyft, but not uber. I got a recent one that was $75 for 30 rides. It wasnt bad because I got the money for the 30 rides plus $75. I get a lot of good shop and deliver and I am typically pretty fast shopping and generally they have low items. Yeah, don’t use assume because you’ve been working on the platform already that they know you have bags on Uber eats. I couldn’t believe that they would not have already asked me that like over a year ago but Either not or maybe they ask again every so often? All I know is I recently got that thing about if I wanna *open more opportunities* to send In photos of my standard, and or large, and or pizza bags. I was approved for the standard and large size bags. I didn’t know it was optional like why would you not use it? I don’t even understand drivers who take it out of the car so the customer doesn’t even know it was in the hot bag. And I like to just keep them clean, but I just try not to put them down on any surface after I started bringing them into the restaurants.. .. because what if they think I don’t have them. This was before It got cold enough outside to where you need to put it before you go back outside with it anyway. Meanwhile I had a very nice compliment from a restaurant owner not far from here that I had the cleanest - it was a DoorDash order at the time - bag of *everyone* else who has been in there or something. And she said the others are not close too- making me really wonder what the hell they look like. 😂 I mean, I had something spill twice. Ever. I think the food was OK I didn’t realize till after, but it was just some of the sauce apparently had leaked out. (and we don’t have plastic bags here) The one I tossed because it was early days and it was the DoorDash bag they send you for free. That thing was useless. Oh, and wouldn’t hold 90% of my orders anyway. But one of my two favorite bags (it was the extra large I got from Amazon) I had left on my front lawn to hose out in the morning. My daughter threw it out the next day when I didn’t get to it fast enough. I guess because it was on the ground outside. She thought it was garbage. @@ So I have my one nice black big black one with a good easy zippers and the two pack when I got it came with 4 smaller green ones that are just average size - which I did not order, and I’m not sure if it was a bonus or a mistake 😂but anyway I gave one of them away to a friend. Aside from having less orders fit into it, is the zippers are really difficult. Still have three of them, though. They come in handy when I have multiple orders sometimes or when I’m doing Uber eats. I do try to use the green ones if it fits otherwise I use the black one. My most recent addition to the family is a red one in between the size of the two other kinds- but much wider than the green ones. Not quite maybe as big as the black. My dad had it in the car and he would sometimes keep Diet Coke in it or something or if they packed a lunch /snacks because they were taking a ride or whatever. Last time I saw him at my brothers in May He said he had more of them at home, so I was welcome to have it, so i was like “Awesome.” 😂 So that’s my new go to for DoorDash now. I try to say color coordinated. To the apps I mean. 😂 the zippers are in between as far as ease-of-use the other two but definitely not as difficult as the green ones. And I try to protect my black one because I only have one now. anyway, I don’t think any of them are quite the size of catering bags, but if they wanted to approve them for the large and standard, I am not fighting it. I had a bad headache, took a Benadryl and slept from like 7 AM to 4 PM. It’s only just after midnight and it’s been a long day already. Lol. So pardon my Uber and DoorDash bag babbling. 😊

So because I was wondering a while back why the word exclusive kept popping up on my offers I read and was told on both accounts that exclusive has nothing to do with the driver everything to do with the restaurant if it comes up exclusive on DoorDash, that means the restaurant only does DoorDash Because I was wondering the same thing I’m like why am I getting an exclusive order like as a customer picking me so I had to investigate and this is what I’ve read and this is what I was told nothing to do with the driver. It just means that that restaurant exclusively deals with either DoorDash or Uber. Let me know what you think.

Mike I hope you get an address this with Uber Eats somehow. I have tried that bag verification several times I can't figure it out they keep denying it. And the reasons are my ID needs to be near the bag tried that front and back I don't understand they never approve my photo I just stopped trying. If you could help out with trying to figure out what it takes to get that bag approved let me know. I've done it every which way I could based on what their reasoning it did not get accepted. Please do a video about getting the bag verified. I always use a bag and I have for years anyways.

There are hundreds of $30 orders every time food stamps come out from Walmart even if you can make your way through those there are hundreds of orders on a Friday night that are garbage it is worse than telemarketing it is literally back to back request sometimes the same request is trying to fulfill a trip radar a request the prices keep changing every time an Uber driver near me hits X my thing goes off I'll literally be standing in there waiting for an order and another Uber driver will hit X and mine will ring they are probably using AI to optimize profit and the answer was pay everybody by the hour make them by the car and make them accept all the orders and it's not working

I was wondering how all of this 'stealing orders' even happens. If it sent another driver, then I doubt an original driver took the food, right? Wouldnt that be seen easily by uber looking into a CS report, which will happen... who is showing up to stolen orders and just leaving it be, or able to leave it be while contracted to the new and missing order? So basically, yes they need to confirm because it would look like its just random people taking food, not the drivers, or else it would be caught quickly.

And apparently recently , Uber eats has said it’s “software glitches” when you get somewhere and they have no record of order. One restaurant around here always says someone already picked it up. I sense they are lying and have no 😮idea where it is. I always contact the customer to tell them either restaurant is closed or that restaurant does not have their order. Then I tell them to contact Uber eats support to find out how to get their food. I feel quite bad for people waiting for food that is not coming, plus if they contact support then the next 5 drivers don’t end up wasting time on a ghost order.

Nah, it’s because the driver kept the food and canceled it because the restaurant never made him confirm in front of them. So driver walks out and cancels it and keeps the food.

@@massocial5910 Next driver has no order to deliver, calls support. Last driver demonstrates cancelations that end up reported as missing food, which follow up with deactivation from fraudulent patterns. No?

If the app sends us and it's not there, that is negligence on the app company's part. They offered and we accepted. Made up my mind, I am suing the next time. It will include my time filing cost, going to court, money lost because of their negligence because I had to waste time to recover the cost of the contract breech! And... some for punitive damages. Enough of these suits and they will be more careful.

I get bonus pay every weekend on delivery in pittsburgh. I have taken low paying orders and the customer put the tip on after delivery. Also some low paying offers will bring me back closer to home after a long distance delivery.

I have a Mexican restaurant my area They have a sign on their door to clearly says if you don't have a food bag don't even bother coming in. Some restaurants are trying to protect their brand and protect the quality of their service to their customers. This also helps weed out the drivers that just go around and steal food. If you want to be taken seriously you need to have a food bag

@nathanklooster1744 I have Allstate I fully disclose to them what I'm doing with my vehicle. Commercial insurance is for taxis cover the liability of other people in your vehicle. As far as my state and in my insurance company is concerned I'm not required to have commercial insurance. My previous insurance company I told them what I was doing with the vehicle as well and I never got a response from them. I was not delivering and I hit some pheasants. I tried to make some a claim they asked me what I do and they dropped me. Even though I was not delivering at that time

Yeah,I see crap like that all the time. GUARANTEED a 30 dollar McDonald's order is not real. NEVER. UE is AWFUL in my market. A typical UE order is something like: $4 for an 18 mi drive. Ridiculous. My AR is in the low teens.
