I think these claims are valid but at least half the appeal of this show is Bert playing an exaggerated character of himself and Tom playing off of that and that model works pretty well it seems. I think Bert’s more self-aware than what he alludes to in some of these podcasts. In Bertcast, for instance he’s much less like this character that appears in 2 Bears 1 Cave. It’s all free entertainment, watch something else if this isn’t your cup of tea. Love Bert, Tom and Ryan, no need to compare them for me.

I know a lot of people are getting Bert fatigue-between his making everything about him and regurtating the same stories and his one-dimensional character, but I think he would be better if he did an appearance once a month or maybe just occasionally as a guest alongside Tom and another comedian host. Tom is hilarious with other guests who don’t try to overshadow Tom. It feels transparent that Bert cares most about promoting his own stuff, even if that means overtaking and disregarding Tom and what he has going on-who is a comedic assassin when Bert isn’t on. I’m not a hater, I just don’t think Bert has enough to hold a co-host spot. I used to like him before he just started phoning it in. I think he could still be entertaining, but he’s recycling material and nobody laughs at his jokes as hard as he does. Tommy Buns is a natural though. It never feels like a forced bit the way it is with Bert. Maybe for every 10 other co-hosts, Bert can be given a shot to try something new. Likeable guy, but it’s always the same joke or some weird comments about his teenager’s period blood. Time to evolve and keep the shirt on.

its kind of alarming to watch a grown man with absolutely no concept of a filter or anything that is going on that isnt between their own ears. The frat boy schtick gets old, especially after you start losing your hair, but maybe thats because i have the utmost disdain for those types of people

Tom is so used to being ran over by Bert randomly yelling things out, that he hardly talks when a guest is on. Tbh it’s nice to hear an actual conversation rather than a disabled man child yelling ways to get canceled at Tom for an hour plus lmao 😂
@fredddiespennnies34483 жыл бұрын
Dude Bert turned into cancel content the second he started hanging out with LOS. I love the Skanks, but Bert ain't one. He's just trying to replicate their sort of banter.
@jamesback50993 жыл бұрын
@@fredddiespennnies3448 who is LOS? I can’t stand when Burt talks while half laughing and does the loud ass screech, but you can tell it’s completely forced. He can just stop and finish his laugh then talk but he insist on forcing a laugh talk, which for a lot of comedians is funny because they can’t stop laughing and they are trying to finish the convo or joke but Bert like forces it and I can’t imagine he thinks it’s that funny soooooooo many times during a normal conversation. Tom is doing a light chuckle and he is half drooling just screeching and hitting the table
@fredddiespennnies34483 жыл бұрын
@@jamesback5099 Legion of Skanks. And i couldn't agree more, dude the screech! That's where my annoyance had started with him too.. the guy couldn't be more obvious with his need to be liked and the means in which he's willing to go to obtain it. He name drops and spills other comics' biz for a reaction. I kinda pity the guy though, It's definitely a vicious cycle he's unable to break from.
