I love Conrad's books about the challenges of life at sea, and this 1:15 minute tale did not disappointment me. The story is told from the perspective of a 20-year old 2nd Mate on his first voyage sailing to the Far East. The narrator is proud of how well he stood up against the ship's almost insurmountable hardships and bad luck.

One of the most boring books I've ever had to read. It's not due to the events, it's just due to the book having a boring writing style.
