@@CoachD I've always rotated between a 2-3, or a 2-1-2, both have worked, and I switch defenses depending on what the other team is running.

@@CoachD I utilized the Shuffle Wall & Pursuit Drill this last practice and it definitely helped our defense pitch a 24-0 W to start our season. Our defense had 2 Pick 6s thanks to the Pursuit Drill and ensured the opposing team went 1-8 on for 1st downs. Thank you so much for the assist, Coach D! 🙌🏼

Coach-Is it better to play man with a less experienced Team? Currently have an incredibly hard time getting them to understand and stay in assigned zone roles. And they are 12U…

It’s challenging to have them stick with the man and be able to cover them properly. Use cones and have them walk out their zones in practice. Coach in the moment to make sure they are doing it correct. Just because they aren’t getting it doesn’t mean switching to man will make it better. I would stick w zone, but map them out and draw out their EXACT assignments in the field. In the game it happens so fast, so you have to review it over and over in practice. Give it another week in my opinion. 🏈🔥
