Hey Ben! I installed 3rd party Carplay inspired by your video! Now I am trying to code my car with bimmercode, it's manual saying should unplug the 3rd party idrive module. which is too much hassles. Does it work same with your mini? Able to code by bimmercode when 3rd party idrive is installed?

Hi, I don't see that you have an email in the KZbin information, that's why I'm writing you here. I did the coding with bimmercode so that the rear fog lights would turn on as if they were braking. But since I have the union jacks, which you installed too, well, my question is, if the rear fog lights still work as brake lights or not with the union jacks. Does this MMI kit work with the OEM rear camera?. Is there an option to add a HDMI device to this kit?.

It does indeed! And I think some of them offer HDMI functionality

@@BenRolfe I once had a JoyeAuto MMI kit installed and in their item, the HDMI port was not functional, the oem rear camera was not functional & the touch feature was not functional. Also 2 out 10 times the connection would drop and remain buggy.I now have retrofit the head unit to a premium version that has full features.

@@BenRolfe the bmw button on your car play box I can email you the files later if you like. All you do then is put the files on usb your car play box Recognised as the file format and name of files update both files and hey presto all your buttons change to mini and a start up logo also is mini instead of CarPlay logo
