A chat about my experience on KZbin over the past 9 years and my plans moving forward. I know a lot of folks out there have been making content on this platform over a span of years and get just as frustrated as I do. I've spent many moments wanting to pull my hair out, not knowing what I'm doing wrong or what I can change to make this work out. You're not alone, it's a tough place to try to thrive. Is it worth it? Well...depends on your perspective I suppose.

hi! you just came up in my feed, I subscribed. I think unfortunately KZbin is oversaturated and it's hard to find creators, especially vloggers that aren't fitting in search keywords. I wish there was a discord or something to be able to find new people haha

I'll be honest, I also got recommended this video. I don't believe I ran into your channel. I totally can relate to everything said from your anxiety all the way down to being out in a box. I am looking forward to you being you and sharing more like you mentioned. Give it a try special cuz your aware of what comes with being a KZbinr. I used to make videos on tik tok and I would uploaded mostly silly things I found funny. After a year passed by i noticed well viewership isn't there but eh ... My content is all over the place .. comedy comedy, roller skate review .. comedy comedy... Motherhood and having post party depression series (at the time I don't think we had extra time to make longer than a video) Anyways, have a great day

My next Wednesday One Shot video will be all about anxiety so stay tuned for that! I have a TikTok as well and upload there weekly, usually getting a couple of new followers here and there. It's also a bit on the slow side though. It's hard to pick one style of video and that be your entire identity online. I refuse 🤣

We started KZbin the same year and have almost the exact same number of subscribers! How old are you? I'm 34. Most of my videos that I have public are mental health topics, when I go off topic I get way less views but some videos are still fun to make like I did a tour of my old apartment. Funny enough the video that has the most views isn't mental health related at all it's about my abortion experience. I had to turn off comments I was getting so much hate but I had a lot of women say they really appreciated me sharing my story because they're experiencing the same thing. I'll have to check out some of your makeup videos, I love makeup. Do you watch glam&gore? She doesn't post as frequently these days but I love her content and her makeup skills are out of this world. I would love if you talked about your sobriety more. I mentioned in a previous comment my husband was 50 days sober but unfortunately he had a slip up. Could you share your tips and tricks for staying sober long term? I hope I get to witness your channel blow up! You have great editing skills. I suck at editing it's probably one of my biggest challenges being a KZbinr. Keep up the great videos!

I will definitely focus on more sobriety topics, I love talking about it and helping any way I can! I have a Kava tea video coming up this week-it really has helped me stay sober when I'm going into stressful moments or social outings. I try not to drink it toooo much because it's also not easy on the liver but in moderation it has done wonders for my anxiety and sobriety! And thanks for the sweet comments on my editing 🥰. It's my favorite thing to do.

I don't know what that means for youtube success, but I wonder if you could pursue niches that center on the need for an excellent speaking voice? storytimes... histories... commentaries...documentaries... deep dives.... I don't know?... I don't even mean for you to not be on camera, I just mean focusing on the skill that is your voice itself?

this is the only video of yours I've seen - but you already have so many fascinating elements you could use (which maybe you have). sobriety, body art, makeup, adhd, life lessons, humor, personal growth... I think if you could find a few of these things that you can use together and not get bored, you could do great!
