To many people here you are an old friend who we miss a lot. So, we are very interested in anything you feel like telling us. It's always pleasant to see your smile and that in spite of everything going on you look awesome. Some times I wonder how is the pandemic where you live, but this might be annoying for you to report. Maybe this subject would be like a letter to your subscribers. "Dear friends, I..." BTW, I told you (but you probably don't remember)! If you think acting is your thing you should have done that a long time ago. You would meet like minded people and there would be no shortage of directors willing to test you on the sofa... 😅😅😅😅

Just make the content you want to make, I dont know who was putting you on the chopping block but you couldn’t let 1-2 people dictate what you want to put out here.

if you are interested in acting i would def recommend taking a class. there are all different kinds of course, but it can be an amazing experience. i am an animator (no serious intention of becoming an actor) and i took a class to improve my animated character performance. I had no idea what i was in for. Taking a serious acting class as an adult is a whole different beast than what you think of when you’re remembering high-school drama class. It can be very intense and also really transformative. I took a class where the teacher combined Meisner and Checkov techniques. The Meisner techniques can be especially intense. Oh man I think it would be amazing for you!! I think you’d be so glad you tried it. If dramatic acting classes don’t appeal to you, you could definitely start with an improv class. They’re tons of fun and are great for boosting your confidence :) have fun, good luck!

I think you are unique and original in your videos. There is no one on KZbin like you Matt. Just be yourself and make videos when YOU want to. Acting is interesting. I would not have guessed that you enjoy it but it kind of makes sense. You could make "audition tape" style videos of different characters or just talk about things that interest you or you are thinking about and would enjoy feedback on. "I don't care what other people think." is a huge step in the right direction. It helps you just be yourself.

For starting up again, maybe going to the core of those difficulties and finding people (experts?) who can speak to that with you as interviewer. Just a thought. I trust you'll find the way.

It's good to see you back, Matt. As for acting, having majored in theater, taking acting lessons, wherever can. It doesn't have to be a formal educational school, local park districts and junior colleges usually have arts programs. Also, improv is an amazing tool for honing acting skills. Follow your bliss. As, for content, use your age as a benefit. We need more mature voices for our community, there are not enough. Check out Lance the Driver for inspiration.

Matt, if want to act, why not try reenacting some of the scenes you talk about (like the Gazebo date)? It takes a lot more effort, of course, but if that's what you want to get into, try it. Also, if you want to act, why not sign up for acting classes? There is no one way to do it, but a class would definitely give you methods of improving that have worked for others. Try reading "An Actor Prepares" by Stanislavski. It's a little tough to get into but is used in a lot of Acting 101 classes to learn a method of becoming another person for "the stage." Good luck!
