💬Plot summary:

There are a lot of story like this. Many speculate that Game of Thrones could be a scify since GRRM is also a scify writer. A step into the past could bet consider as scify and historical fiction. There is one story that sort of a mold of Lord of the Rings that also have elves and dwarves and what not. But instead it is set in the future with some sort of apocalypse had happen. And humans mutated into these races. Sometimes within that story trace of a more modern past appear all over the places.

I notice sometimes the name change a lot. But for people not in the know. Nan is south. Qing is locate in the South. So sometimes in the show they called it Qing, Great Qing, or Nanqing. Yi is in the east (the way people carry sword similar to Japan, which happened to be the east of China). Dong is East. So sometimes in the show they called it Eastern Yi, or Dongyi, or Yi. Of course, the other country is Northern Qi. Bei is north I think, which is why sometimes in this show it is called Beiqi. So far, I think only these 3 countries are mentioned.

From what I got, FX and his mom is not from the future. The era/world/time that they’re living rn is the future. FX and his mom is from the past, but when the ice age happened human civilization got wiped out. Life gets restart from 0 again, eventually evolved to this era. However, FX’s mom and others were “sleeping in the ice” until it got melted so some did get out. They still have the memories and technology from before the ice age happened.

I had to watch a dubbed version to find that out as this Eng sub is "difficult" to follow sometimes. So basically as the human civ was dying out due to the Global Freezing, the mother froze herself (a la Judge Dredd--Stallone) and then woke up 100,000 years in the future (our own last Ice Age lasted about that long). Ofc a few humans survived, going thru caveman -> hunter gatherer -> farming -> current Feudal age. Another confusion comes from FX himself during the "poetry" banquet: he seems to imply that his poems came from future ("as long as your teacher is not surnamed Du").

I want to know if anyone ever realized that Fan Xian was not reincarnated. He is a child of the current era. The mother in her letter said that they did digital memorization on him. The boy that was wheeled into surgery and never came out of surgery since his has memories in the surgery room. He has the memories of someone else. I would have to assume before the other person died that they downloaded his memories and stored them. I have watched this show repeatedly. I'm a believer in reincarnation. Do I believe it possible to remove a consciousness from a human being, absolutely. When this us done the frequency as to be right. I think Fan Xian mother did this because, she was very lonely. If you have someone that can remember everything you remember. You won't be so lonely. When first left thee temple she stated that her friend was being perused and she was going to save him. I think that during this encounter is when, Fan Xian uncle lost his memories. We are who we are due to life experiences and the memories that our implanted into our mind. When a person has an accident and loses all there memories they become a completely different person because they no longer have memories of the past. They move forward and are shaped into someone brand new. What they haven't explained is why nobody such as the Emperor or Fan Xian's adopted father or even PingPing. This people haven't figured out that he know everything his mother knew. I hope that get around to that in season two. One thing I do understand is the Emperor really loved his mother and he in fact favors him above all his children. I also think that Fan Xian's adoptive dad loved his mother because at one point the grandmother stated that your mother went to the capital and died. They also have said that she lived with the grandmother. The affection could be sibling affection. Another 100% sure he is not reincarnated or a time traveler is because. China has a rule that nobody time travels after 1949. They believe that everyone is happy with the status quo and they would never time travel because everyone is happy. This is why all these time travel television dramas take out the time travel. Nobody wants to leave the modern day China. I have several Chinese books in Chinese and English. The story of Minglan, time travel drama. I love that drama. I watch it everyday. Now has anyone thought about the fact that the royal grandmother had the key to the case. I think she is a frozen person that may have awakened too. The mother said in her letter that everyone will wake up as soon as the ice melts. They gave us a glimpse of the frozen city. I think everything froze over so quickly that not many people was able to escape. They use to have this American show where they literally had to freeze different parts of the city when the other universe would show up. What could have happened is they slow are bring people out of the frozen city this is why Fan Xian's mother who was about 12 or 13 years old at the time old woke up.
