Very well showcased uncle. Looking forward to the fun run uphill! I do agree that it is a timeless looking car especially with the new rim and lights design. Somehow it looks better than the old polo sedan. Sure there are no fancy features like push start, paddle shifters, etc but the build quality and engine surely doesn’t mess around ;)

I test drive ady. This car chasis very strong. N the engine very good. 2krpm can go 140km. It has manual gear act, function like paddle shift also. After test drive, confise between city ady. Haha

Nope, it does not. But there is a life span, just the same with auto and clutch transmissions .

The Vento has some decent power. But each car is very different. The mew Almera is a bit longer in wheelbase, amd the engine design objectives are very different. We have yet to test the City so cannot comment.

The Vento has a turbo engine and thus has more usable torque. It feels like a 2.0 litre car. The 1.6 Polo would be a bit more affordable. If you like power go for the Vento. Both handle well.

DSG is a dual clutch transmission. 7-speed dry in Vento.

DSG means Direct Shift Gearbox, which is what we all know as Dual Clutch Transmission. Used by many brands including Porsche, Mercedes and even Honda use a variation of it in some of their cars. The Polo uses a dry clutch type. The current Golf TSi uses a dry clutch, but the Tiguan and Golf GTi and R use a wet clutch.

@@65_soon yes and no. Dry one has it's own benefits for being economical and efficient. Although longevity is another issue altogether. check out Learning Engineering videos on this. Very educational.

@@YSKhongDriving yes my Porsche has a wet PDK. A bit of a faff during traffic and shifting gears but on fast drives, it is hard to beat. Maintenance is on the high side compared to torque converters.

Much higher torque, nice to drive, easy overtaking. However, new City is coming, and is potentially as good. However, we don't know the price yet. End year offers are good with VW so now would be a good moment.

Test drive this car very nice, just i search on mudah, this car drop the price super low. Idk why given the performance of this car. It has quite decent toys though.

Imaratul Masjid (I-masjid) yes you are right if you were to buy a Japanese car the rebates given are definitely no where near VWs rebates. It is due to the brand being lower in demand. City is definitely the safer, more reliable choice but in terms of driving fun, this is way more torquey. You might want to wait till next year for the new city. Much better design than current one. Just wait another month.

@@YSKhongDriving i owned a direct injection Alfa JTS before (2010)., sounds a lot smoother than VW. i think it is just VW or AUdi hallmark of engine. actually long before direct injections, i tested AUdi A4 in the 2000s. sounds just like diesel.

@@YSKhongDriving i'm owning 1.6 mpi.....the 6at is not responsive , was like all the time keep at 6th gears and wouldn't downshift when slowing down or going up hill. in order want the "dumb" gb to downshift must accelerate. otherwise most of the time it just keep on 6th gears. compared with other 4at car , they are much more smarter than this dumb "6at"

Summary; Engine : good Exterior : so so Interior : in this price range, technology & finishing wise it's wayy outdated & lame, very poor detailing. Conclusion : not worth it for me. But it's all depends on the buyer, want to choose the vw badge with outdated tech or other badges with newest & better packages

Wan Nazri stupid is a strong word to use to classify purchasers of this car. Even uncle khong drives a golf at home and if you have even sat in one before you will instantly recognise and appreciate the amazing driving experience. I find your comments to be absolutely baseless. The maintenance intervals are at least 15k KM and all the models come with five years warranty.
