I don't know if anyone else feels like me but I really appreciate when Konami designs an archetype based on historic eras. Sure it changes from the fantasy aspect of the game but I like the cultural references they do with these. I wish they did more of these.

I bought a booster box for the first time because I'm trying to learn Yu-gi-oh and get into it, almost solely because I like this archetype. (Am the biggest Dynasty Warriors fan) I mean I've played off and on since like... 2002(?), but my knowledge never extended past "Blue-Eyes has big ATK". Drew a Lightning Storm, don't think I need it, so I'm gonna try to sell it, which basically means that the booster box I got was free. (?) So I feel justified now in buying an Eternity Code Box when that comes out as well... I think this is how people get addicted to gambling.

That's a dope profile. We recently featured that deck on our channel too. You can mix the deck up with a lot of different cards since it goes second. It works well with a little True Draco cards too, and or a small engine so you can play on your opponent's turn as well. I like the deck, and can't wait for the new support to drop.

Changban becomes better during the next wave of support, so I would say a 2 or 3 tbt. The fact that you can pitch it to grave and use it to summon any Senka from deck in your opponent's battle phase is awesomely good.

changban is still bad imo, side to go 1st at best but you're still better off with generic traps, your opponent shouldn't get a battle phase if you go second & get to play

also in the combo you should summon Sun Mou off of Liu then search Zhang De with Sun then summon Zhang to trigger Sun's bounce ef, '.' the Sun Mou combos are the bread & butter of the deck & I'm a little disapointed you didn't show any as unfamiliar players may miss the Sun/Zhang interaction, likewise Guan + Sun search Zhang is a staple line of play

the deck needs them, even a budget player can borrow cards & events are expensive so can also pay for them as part of event expenses then sell them on right after so only losing like 30 on them rather than 150+

Shaddolls are actually so good here.Clearing boards,shaddols dont brick cause of sum mou and liu xuan and gives your deck a possibility of being at least a bit better going first.A rly easy combo is any of the ancient warriors that send +three visits+shaddoll monster you can essential discard them to acivate effect(would prefer beast or hedgehog to get beast).Would easily suggest playing foolish burial goods and more copies of the trap,it works with the trap and the metalfoes fusion.

sticky string kaiju would be better than trap & 3rd Zhang it seems like, kaiju helps by being removal that doesnt hurt your efs that require op monsters & string is lv 7 & weaker than Guan so has synergy with Sword & Seven & the core engine, you can also bounce it back & then banish for draw with Sun ef + Sword of Seven.

Crazy how expensive yugioh became in the last month. lightning storm is a staple 3 of and is $390 for a playset (fellow Canadian). It also appears that a lot of the best decks will be using magicians soul which is $500 for a playset. Meta went from budget to an extra $900 for one of the top decks. I dont mind spending a fair bit on a staple but this is a bit insane rn I dont think im going to play at regionals or ycs for this format, and I spent $400 for thunder dragons on release so Im not even playing on a budget either. Ill just wait for mr5 lol

I think it's not a good idea to spend much money right now, last banlist reshaped really hard the meta, we need at least one more banlist after this one to stabilize what is the new meta to really know what is good or not, if lightning storm is too good (I think it is), it might goes to 1 fast (6months I'd say)
