I am a little bit mixed On another hand Yuffie immaturity, motion sickness and adorableness does make for entertaining character and one can groan at her but not really dislike. She is after all loyal to her country and she really can be just a kid. It’s just that her behavior in cosmo canyon and the immense focus on materia rubs me a little the wrong way. I feel she is naive if not a bit foolish in thinking a war would solve anything. All this seems to be set up for a final character development for Yuffie, specially ones she learns about what really happens in Wutai.

I think that that is what they are portraying, she is naive and foolish, but also very adorable and loveable. She will learn what really happend in Wutai in the next game and it will be heartbreaking, just like any other part in this amazing saga.

But she also needs to believe in the Lifestream I think. To realize things are bigger in this world than her own country. Granted a clear atheist in FF7 have not been that common. Man disrespect the lifestream and take it for granted but they know it exist at least. It’s exist. Yuffie words in cosmo canyon feels like the first time anyone don’t believe in it fully.

What yuffie doesn't know is Rufus is the leader of avalanche and the reason he doesn't like barretts crew is they blew up the reactors its all kinda symmetry in a way( Rufus started it as a way to eliminate daddy and have deniability )

She is a similar vain that Aerith is. Tifa is the only “real romance”, childhood sweetheart dynamic and the most obvious mutual feelings. Aerith has the wishy-washy I like you but I foresee my own death “don’t fall in love with me” dynamic. Yuffie’s dynamic is one of mutual social incompetence and a unreciprocated crush.

Why this whole game looks so "ads" and so "planned" compared back to other RPG games that just based on story-writing with imaginations. There's like 99% of this game is just refer on what's the meme or popular phrases on the Internet. I like it back when it was somewhat dark and mystery. OH~ and mature enough for those who grown up to play with. Now, this one is too Di**eyland like. It's like only specified for those who can't take anything harsh at all. The director~i bet he will even make Freddie and Michael have to wear Santa's suit to kill people on Halloween. Bikini? Cool~but it only feels best after long long days of fighting through hell instead of EVERYDAY is just like holiday. Even during the scene of that ship's Captain shooting the hooded guys, just make it serious~ why suddenly a YuffieXCloud fanservice there? SQ hinting that shipping these 2 for some fans is more important when there's someone killing people with not really logical reason? I can't treat this game seriously any longer.

Just play the original. I never understood people wanting the game to be the same without changes, though I do understand the appeal for a graphic update on the turn based game. FF7 fans were once edgy teenagers and now they are dads with families and women Fan Girling over Zack. I think it's great that this game is loved by people who might never have picked up the original.
