Great video! I bought a box too, and am excited to run a sealed format with the 8. But I'm worried Mai's and Ishizu's are too strong in comparison to the rest now. Is there a way to weaken them, with Mai's or Ishizu's alternate skills perhaps?

But realistically the best way to weaken those two decks would be the following- for harpy probably using the other skill or cutting princess out of tht deck so onslaught doesn't feel as broken, the second skill is still really good but the first is insane, as for ishizu I would say maybe cutting thr cataclysm monster, the deck will still feel plenty strong but without cataclysm it won't feel like bs. Was looking forward to this tier list. Very recently got in to speed duel. Not easy with stuff being sold out and living in Europe however. The destiny board feels quite hard to achieve it :p

Kaiba deck doesn't do anything and just bricks. You have to pray for you to draw either the perfect hand for blue eyes or the perfect hand for XYZ and even with the perfect hand it doesn't keep up with the rest of the decks in the box. (D tier in my opinion) His skills, both are just terrible.... You said it perfectly, if the main skill card allowed you to mulligan by choosing Blue-eyes OR obelisk it would be decent. If the deck focused only around blue-eyes it would be perfect. I think they should have given us white stone of legends or maiden with eyes of blue(or both) and kaiba-man instead of Lajin and his freaking lamp. And for Obelisk, Maybe give him a skill line where you could tribute a blue-eyes to summon obelisk or give us fist of fate?

Also I think Joey's deck is pretty even with Yugi's deck. Yugi has some really good cards but Joey has a bunch of crazy cards too like floodgate, fissure, sol and luna and penguin soldier... without mentioning that most of his monsters have high attack power by default. Just looking at it doesn't seem much but playing it is another story!

@@hique. You probably right however idk if D tier would be where I would go, at least compared to the other decks in the past. Also I couldn't agree more with you on both the fact that they should have just focused on being a Blue-eyes instead of whatever the hell they tried doing there and also the fact that it's pretty BS that Kaiba was the only one not to get support for his god card.

@@hique. Yeah I low-key did want to put it in S-Tier but the deck looks so unassuming that I talked myself out it. But no for real his deck is surprisingly good.

@@TopsyTurnip yeah maybe Im being too mean to the deck, but me and my friends played the deck (sealed) and anyone that played Kaiba's deck lost every game. We're planning to play 3x constructed next time, maybe it can be better, but I doubt the deck has too many bricks.. it has draw power sure, but almost always drawn into nothing.

@@hique. No I get you, the deck is prone to bricking but the good hands you get are pretty damn good at OTKs lmao I remember I had a duel in a lil tourney and literally got beat immediately with the person playing blue eyes on turn 2 😅😭

Now that the box is out i wil bring up this question again. Does Necro valley prevent skill cards from addng from the gy?

No it should not. Since Skills are they're own thing this means cards like necrovalley do not affect them. Necrovalley would only affect monsters, spells or traps that move cards in the GY.

@@thanhtu300 oh the misc. Cards can be added to any of the decks. I would say something like tomato would be great in marik, and bakura. Reaper is great for any deck since it's so generic same with tribe infecting virus.

@thanhtu300 I would say battle City bestie is pretty damn good as a generic skill, Tristans skill is okay but the activation condition is too cumbersome. While Noah and Duekes skills are too specific. Well I guess Duels could be good for bakura to increase your odds of getting a good die roll with snipe hunter. Hope this helps.

What’s the best way to play speed duel with friends?

@@thanhtu300 on my my favorite ways is by playing a draft with them. Depending on how many people are playing this will work differently. Let's say it's you and one other friend, in that case you'll figure out who goes first could be a coin flip a rps match or whatever. Then who ever wins gets first dibs on a deck and you u alternate till all the decks have been chosen. Then you do a lil tourney till you get the best deck. You can also spice it up by doing special rules like the prize card rule where where if you beat someone you can take the best card from that deck and add it to urs. It's so much fun.
