I am more and more impressed by this wonderful pianist. I find I really like listening to her often. Not something I could say of several younger pianists today.

Interesting approach with beautiful long phrasing.

I like the amount of rubato she used throughout the piece, staying true to the romantic style. Also most tend to play the last note very loudly and I like how she left it on a soft note, very impactful. Such a clean performance, a much deserved win

She played two scherches in this competition, all of which were great. Especially, this number three scherzo performance is really great. The ability to maintain tension from the beginning to the trio part was excellent.

Wow, she employs a considerably slower tempo and drags out the notes relative to other performances. Interesting and beautiful. Her delicacy with the cadences at 5:23 is delightful.
@LuisKolodin5 жыл бұрын
her tempo is not slower. in fact she remains faithful to the score indication. that Coda should be played at TEMPO PRIMO, right exactly as the beginning, and it is impossible to play that clearly if you start the beginning too fast. those octaves at the beginning are very easy, not the coda or other passages. she worries about the long line that keeps the song flowing without interruptions (of unnecessary tempo changes, for instance)

I like how she played this after Mazurkas Op 30. No 4 is in C-Sharp Minor and goes well before Scherzo 3. Not over the top like Daniil.

I believe that the only enjoyable part of Trifonov’s performance of this piece is the section B, and his Coda is one of the worst I have ever listened to…
