from Gerry- I have made 3 of these quilts. The first one was with the block you demoed, the next was the white ring around the center and the third was with the same 4.5" square in each center. The one I'm working on now will form a star at the intersection of 4 blocks. You make a smaller block with just 2 rounds. The bottom right side piece is white and snowballed at the top. This one is my favorite. My rectangles are 2.3x2.5. God bless.
