You are not misremembering things, Okayu was VERY reserved and shy in her earlier days, she definitely believed herself to have a high level of social pressure weighing on her before which made her very self conscious, she outright stated she didn’t like her voice and thought it was a bad voice, meanwhile now everyone is trying to assure her that her voice is chill, cute, and sometimes a bit comfortingly sensual, she’s waited years to be able to open up, and now she can.
