“She smelled the Weeb on us from a mile away!” 🤣🤣🤣 That was hilarious! I have been living in Japan since 1998, but not into anime, so I had never heard of Yuru Camp until yesterday (2021/03/17) when I saw a few Japan camping related videos back to back which had several posters in the comments mentioning ‘Yuru Camp’...which is how I found your vid. I guess hipster me and my bro have been doing ‘Yuru’/laid back camping for a few years now😄 (videos of some of them are on my channel, including my pre-Logan Paul Aokigahara solo overnighter)...without knowing that it was a ‘thing’...LOL! 🤣

Just completed the Yuru Camp Yamanashi pilgrimage! My first location was Lake Motosu and it felt so surreal for me. All I kept thinking was "holy crap, I'm actually here!" I was getting overwhelmed for some reason. Mt Fuji really is something else. No wonder Nadeshiko is so in love with it. Second location was Motosu High School but I didn't realise the school was actually closed and couldn't make it pass the front door :(. Lake Shibire was super magical. The cold froze the lake and it felt so otherworldly. My last location in Yamanashi was the Hottarakashi Onsen. Best place since they were tattoo friendly! Made a pitstop at Hamamatsu Betenjima Seaside Park to see the torri gate in the water that Rin was staring at in season 2. There were a bunch of other places I wanted to see but the snow was pretty insane in Yamanashi. Hoping to go to Izu next time I go to Japan!

So the town from the show is easily accessible by public transit, the first and third campsite we went to is only accessible by car, but the main one from the show with the amazing view of mount Fuji is accessible by bus but the bus only runs once a day so you'd have to spend the night there. went to japan this May and took out a day of our trip to do the same thing, visited lake Motosu and lake Shibire and stayed overnight at a small ryokan in Minobu, when we told the owner of the ryokan that we were visiting yuru camp locations she got extremely excited and handed us yuru camp brochures and maps with collectibles and locations from the anime, afterwards we stopped by the Minobusa ropeway from the first episode of season 2 and the view was amazing, Yuru camp has got to be one of the greatest animes that also sneakily doubles as an outdoors recreational campagn :)

I have only seen the first season of Yuru Camp, but I loved it and I also liked his video a lot. The view from the room was wonderful. Thank you very much for sharing! Greetings from Chile :)

Hey guys, I'm planning to visit Yamanashi for a few days in January next year! I'm so excited! I got my international driving permit today! Just wondering, was finding a car rental easy? Much love from Australia!
@KindaNeet
@KindaNeet Жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes super easy, all the major car rental companies like nissan, toyata, etc... have english websites you can use to book your car in advance. Then on the day you just show up and pick it up.

This is crazy!! I didn't expect that all the locations were real and just look the same and I didn't expect yuru camp had so dedicated male fans :O did you visit other Fuji sightseeing spots?

Haha yeah when I first learned about it I knew I had to see for myself! We were pretty crunched for time so pretty much everywhere we went is in this video. Any recommendations for next time?

Cool fun fact: Nagano, one of the main cities featured throughout Yuru Camp, was the host city of the 1998 Winter Olympics. Yes, I'm not just a weeb, but also a MAJOR sports geek. XD

Oh wow that’s interesting, so close to Tokyo I’m surprised they wouldn’t just base them there
@gabetalks9275
@gabetalks9275 3 жыл бұрын
@@KindaNeet Base what there? You mean make Nagano a permanent host city? There's a baseball stadium there that hosted the ceremonies. Since, Fukushima is hosting some baseball games while radiation is a concern, imagine moving the ballgames to Nagano. Nagano surprisingly doesn't have anything scheduled for Tokyo 2020, and I find that very disappointing. They should have some ballgames there too. >u>
