Cat Stevens' Majikat - Earth Tour was recorded during his last legendary North American tour in 1976. It was an ambitious production involving live magicians, synchronized film projection and large innovative stage set. This was the ultimate tour of Cat Stevens before he quit the music business and became Yusuf Islam; he didn't perform on stage again for nearly thirty years.

this song reminds me of my grandfather I wanted to show him, on the day I was going to play this song for him exactly 3 hours before leaving to travel to the city where he lived, my family and I received the sad news of his passing but I know that on that day, when I was listening to this song, he was with me it was something sad but this song reminds me of the good times I lived with my grandfather and the songs he taught me yusuf, i love your work and your music, your songs

I’ve said this before, but I’ve felt this frustration as the youngest daughter in my family. My significantly older siblings left my parents’ care to me. No one listened to me when I asked and then begged for help. Mostly, my oldest brother yelled at everyone, including our parents. My next brother, living only 3 blocks away, ignored us, and my sister has a new baby and lived in Illinois. I do not regret one moment I cared for my folks. I hated that it was EXPECTED by the others that it was my job. After Mom died, Dad would say 2 things: “I never planned on your Mom dying first”; and “We didn’t have you just to take care of us when we got old”. I was 27 when Mom died and 34 when Dad died. I realized then the parade had passed me by and I was useless to my siblings.
