If you want to put the people smugglers out of business and stop the dangerous crossings then the solution is quick cheep and easy. Start the process for legal asylum in France, it is right and a legal obligation that the UK do our part to help those in need for asylum. There is an easy solution to the problem for both the British and French authorities: Ashford International train station is a short bus trip from Dover - immediately put the illegal migrants on a Eurotunnel train back to Calais - you could even drive the bus straight on to a Eurotunnel train. No hotels needed. Will migrants be willing to pay traffickers if they are likely to find themselves swiftly returned to the point of departure?

I disagree. I’m a non EU immigration in the UK ( yes we don’t have the same privileges as EU nationals had for years) I disagree with the opposition on immigration issues. Firstly, There’s a refugee crisis not immigration, secondly home office data shows how many people granted visas just in 2022, numbers don’t lie but propaganda does. The UK would only have to send two plane loads to Rwanda and the smugglers' business model would be broken. If the courts try to stop Rwanda flights from the UK, then pick people up mid channel with a Navy ship, drop them in Calais, put them on a bus to the nearest airport and fly them out of France to Rwanda.
