There are no words in the world to describe how much I admire you for your hard work and everything you do. The wing doesn't look like something I would put on my car, but the work that you did is amazing!

That wing is so nice that it looks oem af. Jesse we all know why you do it the hardest way first, it's because you're not afraid to take risks and have the capacity to go headstrong into something like this and succeed thru trial and error. Not everyone can do that 😊I had no clue how any of this worked with moulding and plastic and epoxy but now I'm hooked to learn more about the process. Excited to see progress and future videos. The pic on insta of the skirts looks good and pair that all with one of your dope aggressive diffusers and you'll be rocking. Fingers crossed on a successful cut 🤞

I went to a Lamborginia carbon fiber lab in Seattle a few weeks ago from a work/vendor thing. It was amazing and I think you guys would really get a kick out of it.! Google "Automobili Lamborghini Carbon Fiber Lab and Museum" if you want to learn more. It would be wild if you guys went the next time you visit Seattle. I worn you though it's not cheap.

...when you are working from raw eps, you seal the foam to create a boundary layer before moving onto any surfacer that contains solvents. My "secret" is to use TiteBond III wood glue as the sealer. It helps me get more, higher quality results out of cheaper materials. Also, cutting a cross sectional sliceform out of foam is a very good technique for a large part like a wing. But for smaller, more "technical" shapes, I prefer to start in foamcore. It's like a buck fiddy a sheet at Wal-Mart. You can obviously kerf it to get bends, arcs, and curves. It's paper backed on both sides so you can write on it very easily. I start all of my sheets by drawing a full 1cm grid across the whole sheet with an ultrafine sharpie. A super sharp Exacto makes it very easy to get very precise handcuts. You can also remove the backing paper from either or both sides of the sheet(with water) and get a perfectly uniform 1/8" sheet of foam to work with. Again for foamcore, I use TiteBond III as a gesso/reinforcement/sealer. Good luck in the future. Very nice wing.

It looks great. But will it be functional in the Sense of aerodynamics or is it just for looks?
@YYClowcals4 жыл бұрын
I studied aerodynamics and designed it in accordance with the theory's - but haven't actually used a wind tunnel to confirm those theories. So I'm not too sure :)

Good work man, looks good. I know this may be your first time making a part to mold. But fix all your imperfections now. You may not get the mold perfect after. You spent all this time all ready, just do it now. I’d prime, base coat, and 2k clear it to get a perfect seal for protection. And where you getting $8,000 from? Damn man.
