I was the disciplinarian, but our girls turned out fabulous!! Your song says it all!! I went to a concert of yours in Thompson-Boling Arena years ago by myself and it was one of the BEST concerts I’ve ever seen!!! I’ll put your concert right up there with The Eagles!!!! My dad and I aren’t close at all. I’d say he’s barely in my life, and because of that, I know how important they are. I was always so jealous of girls who had great fathers. I often wonder how different my life would’ve been had mine been around. If I ever get married, he won’t walk me down the aisle. Dads are so important in this world. I wish they were more valued. Great song. Really beautiful.

I had first listened to this song, and thought, well another good old feeling like home, Zac Brown Band Hit! But it was a reminder about how all these years I had grown up in foster care and never got to meet my parents, and I couldn't even remember them at all whatsoever, we were taken away so young and if there's a song for anybody who needs to know what being a father is all about, well you come right over here to ZBB and listen to this one. I barely ever cry. When i heard this song i had cried the first time in years. I loved zac brown band, and i remember i was 5 when i heard one of their first songs on the radio on their album: The Foundation. It was so good i cries because it was souch a touching song, and when i heard it i realized that i had loved so many this life already that will never love me back. it was the song free, and keep me in mind, 2 humble songs about some nobody boy who loved the world around him that would never love him back and him learning that he can never give up his soft and humble heart, you could catch me striking it rich without even seeing a shred of it in my attitude, or heart , ill always be the same i cannot change who i am. - From the humble man who loves them the most.

Most nights I try to pack Got you climbing on my back Saying, "Daddy, when am I gonna see you again?" You know I gotta go out on the road And get on with the show So most nights, your mama's gonna tuck you in When you're missing me, look at the stars up there I'll be wishing on the same ones and sing this fathers prayer I hope you see the seven wonders I hope you sail the seven seas I hope you let the whole world in your heart But you still got room for me I hope you find a guy that treats you right On your wedding night, I'll raise a toast Hope he understands I'll always be the man that loves you the most Summer's gone, and school is back It's my turn to help you pack I'll keep your room exactly how it is I know you gotta go out on your own I'm so proud of you, you know You're the best thing that this old man ever did When I'm missing you, and all the stars come out I sing this prayer when the quiet gets too loud I hope you see the seven wonders I hope you sail the seven seas I hope you let the whole world in your heart But you still got room for me I hope you find a guy that treats you right On your wedding night, I'll raise a toast Hope he understands I'll always be the man who loves you the most Trust your gut, hold your own But allow for doubting too Forgive the wrongs and love yourself That's the hardest thing to do If your back's against the wall, baby Come on home I'm always here for you And when you've seen the seven wonders When you've sailed the seven seas When you change the whole world with your heart I hope you'll think of me When I go to sing my final song Hope you celebrate and raise a toast If you cry, they'll understand For the man who loved you the most.

He now has to wear a colostomy bag and now he was just diagnosed with moderate diabetic retinopathy, but I’m thankful he’s still here. He’s still my daddy and I’m damn proud of him. My daughter who is 6 years old loves me to play this song EVERY night when I tuck her in to bed! It’s known in our house as “The Daddy and Lacey song” Your music has a very special place in my heart! I wish for one day to bring my daughter along to see you live! ❤

My wife and I are struggling to have kids(runs in her family). If I have a daughter, I’m cleaning up…. Stop vaping, reduce drinking and work out, I’ll sing this to her everyday… please god.

My dad died 3 months after he walked me down the aisle. I wish we had our father daughter dance but it's not part of our tradition. But I won't forget how tearful he was everytime he felt like he was giving me away (During the vows, the walk along the aisle and during the speech, he actually asked someone to read it..lol.) I miss him a whole lot because he really was the man that loved me the most. He did leave me on good hands though
