Watching Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron on screen together makes me so uncomfortable. They don’t even look human, just strange caricatures. Consequence of their own making. This is what happens when you keep dishing out money on the same ideas already out there, do it poorly, and refuse to invest in innovation; resulting in an abundance of high quantity, low quality.

It's pretty standard procedure for a lot of corporate industries tbh. Being an assistant not only gets you a foot in the door, but it also puts you in the ideal position to network since you're going to be rubbing shoulders with people who generally have more pull. Not only that, you also get soooo much exposure to all sides of the business and end up becoming a mini COO in your own way if you play your cards right. It's super easy to use that to move up in the world, especially since being an assistant is essentially just a project management job in its own right.
@nedflanders41584 ай бұрын
@@shadypalmtree2989 an assistant is NOT a project management job. You can wish that, but doesn't make it so. If you can go from assistant to something like producer etc. It means that the higher level job is total bullshit.

@@nedflanders4158 I said it essentially is. As in, it has the hallmarks of many project management roles. People also seem to have a very basic idea of what an assistant does and don’t seem to understand that it’s usually more than just grabbing coffee or making copies or scheduling meetings. A lot of them are more involved and take on outside projects while also juggling the above. Just like how project management changes across industries, so do assisting across industries and even within companies. It’s a very versatile role that a lot of people underestimate because it’s what the assistant and whomever they’re supporting make it.

How's this girl offended that her boss is mad that she's 2 hours late to work? it wasn't even like he said to be here at 4am... it was like 8:30am or something, it wasn't unreasonable at all. And picking up his stuff from his ex's place? It's not like he's asking her to break up for him... I've seen that before in some books were they have actual a-hole bosses, this one is just pick up my things... like a personal assistant would do.
@VyctoriaBrooks4 ай бұрын
OK, because you read of bad bosses means you know what approotar or not? The boss was wack, and I think it's weird people are willing to defend him but not the employer. It's honestly funny to read a comment like this. People think they can access it as a boss or manager. Do you think being late is worse than involving your employee in a romantic affair??? I would never want to work for you.
@jclyntoledo4 ай бұрын
Yeah the late part was weird but it also looked like she was stuck in traffic when they were on the phone. Also for the picking up his stuff from his exes. It seemed like she only didn't want to do it bc he keep doing the same thing every 2-3 months and when she goes back she has to deal with the ex crying or angry ranting at her. I'm not defending her just saying that was her main reason for pushing back on that. I personally don't know how a personal assistant is supposed to be like or what is their tasks but I do agree it seemed like typical things she would have known is her job.

This feels like a mini series that was cut into a movie. Could've made this a 6 to 8 episode show to flesh out all the characters and keep deep into the story. They could've made it a commentary on how people in their 20s think they need to have everything all figured out before they're 30, because social media. Chris could've trained Zara for the next step of her career. We could've find out more about the mom. There were too many plot lines and too much haste. This should've been a show.

Damn, Zack got old , and probably older after the plastic shit 😂
@jaketheripper73854 ай бұрын
Zac Efron hasn't ever had any plastic surgery, at least not the kind you're likely referring to or any type of *elective* procedures. He did have to have some reconstructive plastic surgery to repair a badly broken jaw after sustaining an injury at his home. He had to have his jaw wired shut for some time and undergo a bunch of physical therapy and such after the procedure. Efron has admitted that he slacked off on the PT/OT quite a bit due to his schedule at the time (which also involved production for this film) which unfortunately led to the injury healing improperly without the guidance of consistent PT/OT, resulting in excess swelling/inflammation and accumulation of scar tissue. Ultimately this caused the affected musculoskeletal structures to compensate on their own leading to the misalignment and the odd appearance of his facial structure. It should also be pointed out that "the camera" tends to add about 5 to 10 years to one's appearance in general. Furthermore this piece in particular was rather abysmal from a technical perspective, being so horrendously shot and composed, very poorly lit throughout, and absolutely heinous from a makeup perspective. All actors have to endure a sit in the makeup chair regardless just to make them appear "normal" onscreen. Whoever was responsible for the makeup for this production was either really green or just downright incompetent, if not both. Just seems to further illustrate the Netflix pattern of cutting corners and rushing productions in order to churn out new shit content seemingly entirely for its own sake... At any rate these factors certainly play a role in making Zac appear a bit more aged than he actually is. Plus I mean there's something to be said about a life in the limelight and the stresses that accompany such a lifestyle... The psychological and physiological stressors of that existence tend to cause celebrities to begin showing their age far sooner and more dramatically than the everyday average schmuck.
