@@jaysonb.6669 do you really think he would’ve been drafted 9th overall still if he had transferred to a small school just to hit threes in games? He literally said he practiced them and I would bet that what he showed in workouts with teams was almost as important as his game film would’ve been in terms of teams thinking he can shoot. Also he doesn’t even need to be a good 3 point shooter to have an NBA career that’s not a joke, just look at Rudy Gobert, Jarrett Allen, Steven Adams, and Mitchell Robinson for instance. None of those guys are big three point shooters but they have legit NBA careers. Rudy is likely to be a hall of famer and he barely shoots at all

@@cows543 If this was the 90's, he'd be a top 3 pick , but in todays game Memphis overdrafted (he's a late 1st round pick at best). And all those players you mentioned are WAY more mobile defensively than Edey. He's a PYLON guarding NBA players without Zone-D help. He has to knock down 3's & improve his passing (in addition to posting up) to make up for his massive defensive liability. His best projection is Boban.

I dont like Edey for a variety of reasons but if Edey actually does this the rest of the way till the end of March, he might have a chance at the 2nd round for NBA draft. This is also inspirational too, for all our players who play post and never dare to attempt a 3pt shot. Depending on the time left on the shot clock, I think posts players who do have the ball in their hands should try to shot. No shot taken is a lost attempt for being able to put points on the board.
